True story, So we pull up to a Hotel parking, I saw not one but two vehicles with a cargo carrier but! Theirs didn’t fold up and theirs where sticking way out. So common since said to me, I know when they saw our fold up carrier next to theirs, their jaw dropped and more than likely said, “That’s What I Should Have Bought, Darn it”!! Update01/11/2022: Cargo bag is NOT WATERPROOF. I thought When it is half empty the water comes in because of folding issues. But last two trips My bag was fully loaded and the water FILLED inside. August 9, 2021 Nice product for combo pricing. Assembling takes only 10 minutes if you are good with spanners. (Just1 Person) Sturdy tray. Tested with the Kids. (450 Pounds) Photos Attached Good Water Proof Cargo Bag when it is fully loaded. Best Folding Design. ---------------------------------------- Hitch didn't come with the Pin. Tray leaning slightly on one side because of the Bolt Design. Angled Shank is not like Expected. Cargo Bag - Water comes in if it is not properly folded when it is half empty. Don't get the tie down straps as an add on. They don t fit on the carrier itself. The end are not S shaped but rather like a hook and doesn't fit. I reached out to the seller and got no response back.

We bought this for our minivan specifically to use when we go to the beach. My husband has a recumbent trike and no rack for it, that thing takes up our entire trunk. So we tied it down to this rack in order to free up trunk space for suitcases and boogie board. The rack worked great in the 5-hour drive each way and folded up out of the way when we got there so we could drive around unencumbered. We’ve only had it for a month so can’t speak to longevity yet. This product was reasonably priced and assembly was simple and accomplished with just a few tools. Although it’s made in China, the structure is robust enough for the rated loading and the welds, powder coating was good quality. Worked well on the hitch receiver on my Jeep. Easy fold up, but limited access to the back of the Jeep if you have your spare tire mounted on the rear door of the vehicle. Very happy with the purchase. ... show more

Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. My wife wanted to purchase for our Jeep Grand Cherokee to carry our luggage for when we go camping and take our dogs with us (dogs go in the back, luggage goes on the carrier). Everything was able to fit well, but the extra weight on the rear (bags and ice chest) caused it to tilt down so that it would scrape on the asphalt if we went over dips or going into some parking lots. ... show more

I ordered and received the carrier on time and realized when assembling it that the foldup shank was not correct. I called Arksen, the manufacturer and spoke to Cassandra who asked me to video the problem which I did and emailed it to her. I received the replacement today and it went together perfectly.
