Perfect little shelf for my toddlers shoes. We put this inside one of our cabinets in our mud room, and used it to organize their shoes. Works way better than the small basket we used to have, and is much less cluttered. The overall quality is on par for the price of the unit. It will hold up for what we need it for, but don't expect to hold extremely heavy items. Very heavy and a good size. Just note that the width of 12 in. is for the top. The legs are 10.5 inches wide and my 10.5 in. plates didn't fit without bumping. Deep and solid though so easy to use somewhere with that proviso. The units can be used separately. The height of each unit is terrific for plates. I had a hard time finding a shelf short enough for my small cabinet. I fit up to 6 of my stoneware plates (thicker) under this. Suggest they make one a bit wider. ... show more

Kind of flimsy. Will sway side to side. I wouldn't trust it for glass dishes. Kind of useless in the cupboard, honestly. I would want something bigger, taller, and sturdier.
