  • Decent. Get rechargeable batteries.
Platform For Display: XBOX
I'm using this with an Xbox One S. The regular one with a disc drive. This remote works like any other IR remote. Granted, if you're used to a standard Bluetooth controller it's a slight hassle, but it's a remote, not a controller. Get over it. I was able to get it to turn on my TV and surround sound system. You turn on the Xbox and once it boots it sends out a signal that the remote relays. I typically turn on the Xbox and set the remote down with the emitter pointing towards the entertainment center. It works, you just need to let it. What keeps this from being a 5☆ product is that it eats batteries. A set in two weeks Thankfully, if I've learned anything about dealing with an Xbox is that you use Panasonic Enloop batteries and chill. ... show more

  • Works Perfectly! Setup not difficult, instructions just missing some info.
Platform For Display: XBOX
I purchased this remote because the latest victim of my 6-month-old puppy was my Xbox media remote I've had for 10 years; it was like losing an old friend! This unit is well made, one thing I like about it is it has X Y A and B buttons on the remote, which was missing from my old remote. Another review referenced the setup being a bit convoluted, it's not, problem is the instructions left out a few steps. The instructions say on your Xbox, go to Settings/General/TV and Display Options/Device Control. Then it says to follow the on-screen instructions to setup your TV/Cable Satellite Box/Audio or TV Tuner; problem is there aren't any onscreen instructions. It's quite simple though, turn on CEC checking the options for what other devices can turn on and off. To turn on CEC go to Settings/General/TV & display options/Device Control/ check HDMI-CEC which turns on other device control. Check the options you want on the right side, if you are not sure, there is a Help section right below the checkbox where you turned on HDMI-CEC on the left side. That's it, I would recommend this product!!! ... show more

  • Low Range, but Good Buy
Platform For Display: XBOX
I've had this remote for about a month and a half. So far, it's a very good remote. My Xbox is now used as my only streaming device, so getting a remote was a must. My Logitech Harmony crapped out and I wasn't wanting to spend money for another all-in-one since Logitech discontinued their Harmony line, but I desperately needed a replacement to control the Xbox. The range is the only complaint I have and the only reason I can't rate this 5-stars. From my seat, I do have to angle the remote just right, lifting elevating my arm slightly and angling it towards the Xbox, which sits at an elevated position next to the TV above the fireplace. If my normal seating wasn't directly in front of the Xbox, this may be a further issue. If my couch was further back, this may also cause issues. I'm only about 11 feet back. ... show more

  • Perfect for Netflix / Crunchyroll / Apple TV Plus / HBO Go / Hulu watching
Platform For Display: XBOX
Having an XBOX Series X, I don't feel like I need Apple TV / Chromecast or Fire Stick. However the lack of a remote controller did make it annoying when watching anime since the Xbox controllers go to sleep in just the right amount of time between episodes. This remote is all I need. Turning the Xbox on and Off turns the tv ON and OFF, I can control volume and I can navigate XBOX normally without needing to power ON the Xbox Controller every 20 minutes. ... show more

  • I prefer the design to the previous version but functionality isn’t great
Platform For Display: XBOX
We use our Xbox as an entertainment hub so this is our major remote other than the controllers. We had the previous model and absolutely loved it. Our living area is very open and I was able to use the previous model from across the house in our kitchen. When it finally broke after much abuse from three young kids I was excited to get this new, sleeker model but was very disappointed with its range. It only works within 8-10 feet of the Xbox and has to be pointed DIRECTLY at the unit while the old one seemed to work from anywhere. I didn’t return it bc it does work but not nearly as well and I do like the more compact design. I’m currently trying to find the old model for a decent price with no luck. I suppose it’s possible that the one I got is defective but I don’t want to have to buy another one to find out. If your living area isn’t large and the Brie to your unit is rarely obstructed, this thing will work great for you. If you expect it to work as good as the old one, look elsewhere. ... show more

  • it’s good for the price but okay as a remote
Platform For Display: XBOX
i got this to use my xbox as a media center so i can easily browse with the remote in comparison to a bigger controller, however i found the IR blaster to be very finicky and annoying at time. you have to point it exactly at the xbox for it to work

  • Started out good, but gradually got worse
Platform For Display: XBOX
This remote was really good when we first got it, had great response time just the same as the controller. Over time though, it seemed to have gotten worse and the buttons didn't seem to work well. We ended up sending this back for something else and still haven't found anything with good response time like the actual console controller. ... show more

  • Could have been better
Platform For Display: XBOX
Too bad they didn’t cover the basics with this one. There are four things missing from this remote for me: 1. It is quite slippery, making it uncomfortable to hold. They could have used a grippier material for the sides like they do with computer mice, for instance. 2. The arrow/navigation buttons are depressed instead of sticking out. While that makes it look fancy, it is not functional at all. You have to push extra hard for the buttons to work. You can tell that these buttons will be the first to break from wear and tear. They should have been sticking out like the rest. 3. There don’t seem to be any buttons simulating the RB, LB, and trigger buttons. There are times when you absolutely need those buttons in the Xbox menus. For instance, when using a parental control PIN; the workaround here is to use a PIN without the numbers assigned to said missing buttons. 4. The button lights are great in the dark, but they turn off after 1-2 seconds, which means you have to move/shake the remote every time you take a few seconds between inputs. This becomes annoying. I would have set the timeout on the lights to at least 10 seconds because oftentimes one takes at least a few seconds to decide what button to press, especially when one isn’t accustomed to the remote’s button layout. We all know that people spend an inordinate amount of time trying to decide what to watch and where to watch it (wink, wink), and the lights on this remote dim way too soon for said people. ... show more
