This Xbox media remote from PDP is the best one I have tried, out of the four remotes I've gone through. What the first three remotes had in common was poor transmitting. My Xbox Series X had to be within an unobstructed line-of-sight just for the console to register my presses and inputs for all of them and it drove me crazy. I'd be sitting on the couch moving my arm around and pointing the remote in different positions just for them to work. Made me feel like I was trying to flag down a cab ride. This remote for the Series X doesn't make me do any of that! It works for me just like my TV and soundbar remotes do, no flexibility required! I enabled HDMI-CEC and now the PDP remotes controls everything without needing the separate remotes. It had a nice, premium feel and the buttons don't feel mushy like other remotes I've had. The buttons are also backlit and illuminate automatically when you move the remote. I'm also happy that it doesn't have a thousand unnecessary buttons like the older PDP model remote but still keeps the A, B, X, Y which I'm very appreciative of. I only have two complaints. The first being the positioning of the back button, which they moved more towards the bottom of the remote instead of next to the navigation wheel like it should be. My last complaint, is that pressing the mute button behaves almost like it's being pressed in rapid succession. My soundbar will mute and unmute even though I have only pressed it once. Sometimes it takes 4-5 presses for it to properly stay muted, which is an issue I have experienced with 3 out of the 4 remotes I've had, not exclusive to this Series X remote. I have read some reviews that mention an issue where the battery cover comes off easily but have not experienced that myself. Overall I think this media remote is excellent and well worth the money for the reliable IR transmitting alone. Mine arrived with a light scratch near the top, as I had to purchase mine in "used - very good" condition from the Amazon Warehouse. These are hard to find right now for some reason, so I wish everyone good luck in getting your hands on the PDP Xbox Series X media remote! ... show more

I purchased this remote because the latest victim of my 6-month-old puppy was my Xbox media remote I've had for 10 years; it was like losing an old friend! This unit is well made, one thing I like about it is it has X Y A and B buttons on the remote, which was missing from my old remote. Another review referenced the setup being a bit convoluted, it's not, problem is the instructions left out a few steps. The instructions say on your Xbox, go to Settings/General/TV and Display Options/Device Control. Then it says to follow the on-screen instructions to setup your TV/Cable Satellite Box/Audio or TV Tuner; problem is there aren't any onscreen instructions. It's quite simple though, turn on CEC checking the options for what other devices can turn on and off. To turn on CEC go to Settings/General/TV & display options/Device Control/ check HDMI-CEC which turns on other device control. Check the options you want on the right side, if you are not sure, there is a Help section right below the checkbox where you turned on HDMI-CEC on the left side. Overall the remote does its job. It’s easy to set up and makes streaming on your Xbox feel more natural. The light up feature is nice and pretty responsive whenever I pick it up. The one issue I have with this remote is that some of the main buttons aren’t very responsive. I noticed this day one of having the remote. When I am scrolling looking for something to watch, very frequently I have to press the arrow keys 2 to 3 times in order for it to move. This is nothing too major, it is definitely still very usable.
