Large variety of beautiful colors; each skein features many yards of soft and shiny floss. Wrapping the floss around a bobin is easy and stands do not tangle if unfolded carefully. I have not used the floss for embroidery yet, but will update when I start work. I intend to use the floss for hand embroidery, so don't know if it is adequate for machine work. I typically buy the main name brand for my embroidery and crafts. These were a good price so I took a shot on them. I did soak the different skeins I've used in vinegar to help set the color/prevent bleeding of the item gets damp and also prevent fading of the dyes over time . This thread pulled through my fabric okay, but not as smoothly as higher cost thread. I have used some to make hangers for crafts I create, and also as edging of some wood and paper craft items. I have a lot of threads and colors left so I'll be using this for a while for my crafting but will stick with DMC for my embroidery work. Overall the durability is fine even though the thread is not as smooth as some. Good for use in a variety of other crafts. ... show more

Now I have to figure out a box to keep them in. There is a nice graduated selection of colors. This is a great buy so far. My only thought is the colors might bleed, you never know where or how things are really made. But right now, I’m quite pleased with my little haul. I don’t mean to put a damper on my enthusiasm. Everything feels and looks great. Found a candy box. Managed to squash everything in. All the beautiful threads made the box look like it’s full of candy again. 🤭 Addition: these threads come in so many colors! It makes it easy to choose the right one for making an invisible mend. I love the variety of colors in this pack! It also came with a pack of needles for embroidering which I appreciate. I’ve yet to have a thread break, and the threads are soft and seem strong. I’ve been using these for felt ornaments and the threads and needles have been great!

Separates nicely when you try, but doesn't unravel on its own. The colors are vibrant and stay fast through machine washing and drying, and the threads hold their shape & don't distort. Seems plenty strong, I use it for hand sewing as well as embroidery. Be aware that the hanks are sorted by DMC number and not color family, so you may want to go through and re-sort them.
