If you are on the fence about ordering I hope this helps. The item showed up at my door six days after I ordered it. I wondered how they got it all in that box. The unique way it was packaged had the legs inside of zippered compartments inside of the futon frame. It looks exactly as it is pictured. All you do is bolt & screw on the four legs. This took minutes to do. The rest is fully assembled. Seems very sturdy. It is very comfortable to sit on but when I laid on it while it was upright it isn't as comfortable but not bad. The price is great. I had free shipping and for about $215 including all tax it is perfect for what I need. Should work great as an extra bed for the grandchildren. How do I begin... *SMH* Well, first off, I included two pics to give you an idea of the difference between this sofa and my loveseat and recliner, which BOTH are standard size. This sofa futon is too small for me..and I'M 5'1" That's just my first gripe, my second is that the pillows do not attach at all and the back NEEDS to lean against the wall because it DOES NOT lock into place. I looked everywhere for something that locks it up. If I'm missing something that's hidden and CLEARLY NOT written in the instructions, please let me know. Thirdly, you NEED a black and decker electric screwdriver because for the smaller screws for the legs there is NO holes. I'd return it if I had a car to drive it to UPS or whoever. So I'm stuck at Smurf level. What happens when I invite my friend who is over 6ft"? Anyone? Anyone? 🤦♀️ Was this wrongly marketed as adult furniture? It looks like something a child would have as kid's play furniture. Lastly, not comfortable to sit on, it's quite awkward actually. So many reasons to NOT to buy it. I wish I knew then, like I know now that it's NOT worth the money unless you're Tyrion from Game of Thrones and that's not a dig at short people, remember I am pretty short and I love Tyrion, but I definitely have zero love for this sofa futon. This is just the cutest little couch! It's very low to the ground, and small overall, but the frame is solid and the leather is soft, pleasant to sit on. Not sure it would be big enough as a futon for an average U.S. adult to sleep on, but at 5'5" I fit on it fine. It's better used for small space or would be perfect for children. It’s cute, but when I let down I was afraid it was going to break. NOT very sturdy!!!! I keep the cup holder up. I will not lay it flat since I had a hard time return to the sit position. You get what you pay for! I did not return because I did not want to pay for shipment cost. I will not buy large items from Amazon again...especially not furniture.
