I didn’t really want another barred gate and my walls were far apart and not aligned. This allows for broad coverage. I bought it to keep my min pin out of the family room when we leave. This won’t keep out all dogs or children but it works for us. The design is nice and fits right in. Don’t unpack when small children are around because small pieces and packing will fall out. Also there is a strong odor (assume from the finish) when you open the box. It fades after a day or two.

This 4-section gate is very flexible and effective for blocking off portions of a room. The 8’ length is perfect for our needs and works extremely well for our two smaller dogs. (Chihuahua and MinPin.) we’re very pleased!

This gate seemed pretty stable, even without the stabilizing feet. It was lightweight which made it easy to move. The reason I'm giving it only 3 stars is because the hinges are very loose, the paint is barely sprayed on leaving bare spots, there is a terrible toxic smell to it, and no walk through gate. That being said, it is pretty easy to move the ends to walk through. If you can stand the smell for the first day, it does seem to dissipate after a few hours. It's a nice length/width and height. Update: The seller reached out to me almost immediately and offered a refund. They told me that they are working on improving the product and will contact me when the new (improved) arrives. Excellent customer service. I'll try again when the new product arrives, purely because their customer service is outstanding.

Our rescued Yorkie finally discovered how to go up steps but not down leaving her stranded on the upper foyer deck. This wide gate solved that problem while allowing the cat to ease by an open slot so she could access the upstairs rooms. The double hinges are a bonus as they allow multiple configurations if we needed to move the gate to areas for block narrower widths than the full 82".
