Easy to assemble, mostly zip tying parts together, all of the door option are great so no matter where you put it you should be able to access an opening. I'm using it as an outdoor daytime brooder for nice weather for 4 chicks. While not heavy it doesnt move well, best to use 2 people and pick up either end. Dont know how well the zip ties will hold up with sun/movement in the long term. Will use this as a free range option for my chickens as they age as we have too many birds of prey to let them out unattended. ... show more

We're using this to move around the yard for 6 chickens so they don't keep scratching up the same spot all the time. It's pretty easy to move around once you have it all zip tied together, however, if you want to make it even more sturdy and last a little longer, I'd recommend thicker zip ties or maybe even wire. If you get enough zip ties on it, it adds a lot of strength. I have had to bend quite a few of the tabs that the pieces attach with a little to keep the other side from falling out, but that's not a big deal and a pair of pliers makes quick work of that. Our chickens love being able to explore a different area when we move it, so much that I may actually buy one more of these and set it side by side so the doors all line up and double the space. I'll build a wood frame to anchor it on to and just drag it around like a chicken tractor at that point, but it's worked great for what we have used it to do with just the one. Luckily there are lots of doors on it for getting the chickens back out. We have to use a broom to 'sweep' them to one side and grab them to put them back in their coop, but other than that, it's great (and all the doors make that not too big of a job anyway) So far, so good. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My pampered hens need a change of scenery, and protection from hawks! We even had a bald eagle come after them one day. It went together easily once we realized a couple things: The 2 part Part C's are not the same. Both have hooks to grab the gable end, only one has hooks to grab the middle section. Aim the middle section's hooks at the Part C that has no 2nd set of hooks. The areas that connect more than 2 planes together have metal collars at those points. We threaded the zip tie end through all three collars before securing them. It made a strong, secure fastening! My girls are layers, so they have to go back to the nest box when it's time to produce an egg. If you have a hen racing franticly up and down the run, sticking it's head through, trying to escape. that may be your solution, too! My only complaint is the perches. I will have to fashion a cover because they just don't like the bare wire. Smaller birds might perch there. ... show more

Where to start? The directions are terrible; the parts should be labeled. It is not sturdy. The welding broke in many places just from putting it together, and you can not remedy it with zip ties. The doors open with a flick of one finger- even with the clips on. The door clips are useless and while I am crafty, I can't imagine how to rig the doors to stay closed. The whole thing is wobbly and crooked in the middle. The only thing good about this is the size, but that is also a bad thing as it would be costly to ship back. ... show more
