These boots are very cute, and just as comfortable! The suede is beautiful and soft, and the wooly inside is beyond sumptuous, and cradles my feet without being too hot or causing any perspiration. I have a few pairs of Ugg booties in a very similar style, and I actually prefer these, both in the way they look, and the fluffy, marshmallowy feel. Love this mini boot design, because it easily fits inside of wider leg pants, but is also easy to tuck narrower hemmed pants into - and looks great with leggings and even skirts. I got the color which I believe is called “olive” but I like that it isn’t too greenish, and is just a great neutral that goes with everything, yet looks slightly different from the usual been there, have that, sandy beige tone. These ran true to size for me - got my usual size 8. It feels good, and even though my feet tend slightly to a narrower width, my heel doesn’t slip when I walk. So, if you want something a bit different; still with that amazing Australian quality, that doesn’t cost the earth, I recommend that you order these chic, comfortable boots!

I was surprised to see such a quality item in my reach. Warm shoes, fit well, I got the wide. I can easily put them on and take them off. They look adorable and comfortable to me. No odd smell. So far they did people a little water that got on to them. I was really worried that the color might be weird because it's a brand I've never purchased before, but the color is beautiful and sharp.

These are true to size and very comfortable and warm. The ankle height is perfect for not wearing socks. These are a great buy. Glad I got them!! Also, a MUCH better price point than Uggs.

Love my sheepskin boots. I have had my other fake Uggs for years and they finally started wearing out. I decided to get a short version and after reading about this wonderful company and their backing after you buy their product, I decided to try their boots. They are so soft! They are true to size! The only thing is the top edge might be a little uncomfortable if you are used to a full size boot as I was, but I believe they will get looser after they are broken in. Plus, the company backs up your purchase if you have any questions. I am overall very pleased with my purchase! I would give a 5 star but I’m not quite sure yet. You can also order wool liners from the company if you want to replace your other liners in your other boots and that is a fabulous concept! Great PR in my opinion! Mom and Pop companies are what I always look for and I would rather work with one like them!

I’ve owned two pair of Ugg boots and a couple pair of Ugg slippers in the past. Uggs pricing drove me to consider these boots. I am pleased to say everything about these Mel & Syd boots; the quality, comfort, materials and construction are equal to Uggs at a much more affordable price point. The sizing is true and they offer beautiful color options-I chose the Olive and it’s a rich shade-not green more like olive wood.

The quality of these shearling boots is outstanding! Mel & Syd is a brand I was not familiar with until coming across it on Amazon. I read the reviews from people who purchased them,and I decided to see for myself why they have been so favorably reviewed. I ordered the Olive color because it is such an on- trend on,plus the shearling lining matches! This gives them an upscale appearance. When I opened my package, the box made me smile! When I opened the box,my eyes lit up because the boots are really beautiful! I have worn the brand that starts with the letter "U", and in my opinion, Mel & Syd tops it. These are sturdy,lush,beautiful,and very comfy. I am very happy with my purchase,and hope to try more footwear from this brand!

For the price, these boots are exceptional!! They are extremely warm, and as the temperature s have been below zero the last few days I have loved them. They are short, but as I have issues with my right foot, the ankle support has been terrific. They are really very light to wear. I really have not noticed any kind of smell, they are leather, so that's what I expected.

My original UGG boots are well over 10 years old and have started to show wear. This is a long time to own and wear a pair of boots. They were super comfortable and well made. When I started to look for new boots, I certainly visited UGG first. The price for the same boots I bought years ago was high, in my opinion. I came upon Mel&Syd as an alternative. The look was very similar (slightly not as high on the ankle as UGG). After reading reviews (mostly positive) I thought I would give them a try based on the price being half that of UGG. Overall, I don’t think they are as well made as my current UGG boots. They fit nice and snug by my toes, but my heel slips up and down a bit ( most reviews reported too tight). They are easier to step into vs UGG, but in the heel area I actually hear and feel the inner stiff construction of the boot pop where UGGs felt thick, soft, and snug on the heel (although a little harder to pull on). So far, I find the Mel&Syd boots a good alternative to UGG, especially for the price. I do like the color and look. Time will tell if they last as long as the UGGs.
