I recently had a chance to use the Pauline Abdominal Binder after my C-section. As a busy mom, recovering in the midst of family circus is no joke. From diapers to chasing after my little monsters, this belly band has truly been a godsend. The band is made of a soft, breathable material, that even my admittedly touchy skin fell in love with. The Velcro closure provided me the ability to adjust the compression level to my own comfort, allowing me to customize the fit as per my need. While it was a tad snug in the beginning, it's nothing that a good-old tugging won't fix! And if you're taking into account my ex-circus performer hubby's antics while adjusting my wrap, well, let's just say it's been quite a laugh! The band has been effective in reducing my swelling, and more importantly, easing the discomfort that everyone conveniently forgets to mention comes along with post-surgery. In terms of sizing and fitting, I believe this abdominal band is indeed designed to cater to a wide array of body types - although maybe not as accommodating for my Uncle Couch Potato. My only gripe? The fabric started looking a bit rough after some use. But, considering its affordable cost and the comfort it provides, I'm gonna say it's more than a fair trade-off. In a nutshell: If you're in for a post-surgery support system that's not only comfortable but doesn't make your pocket scream, the Pauline Abdominal Binder could be your new best friend.

I wanted to give this binder a try since I need to wear them due to a hernia. The material in this binder is a little to weak to compress a hernia. It has way too much stretch and flex in the material to be effective.

I found this to be too loose to do me much good. Because it is very stretchy to accommodate a large size variance. The fabric already started pilling after the first use. It's thin, which could be a good thing but there's not enough compression no matter how tight I pull it. So, I will keep looking.

I'm getting ready to have my second abdominal surgery that will require me to wear a binder. This one was a good choice. The material it is made of is thick and the elasticity is good. It is nice and wide and the velcro is very good!

This is a lightweight material, thin and elastic. Seems to run a bit small, you have to pull some distance to get it to close, but it stretches a long way and will close. Provides gentle support. The velcro is the strong hook type. After the first try on, bits of the belt fabric were pulled up in a ring of tufts where the velcro had gripped it. So the belt may probably only last months instead of years. Unless a band of velcro loop was sewn onto the belt in the gripped area.

This binder is amazing. I got it due to having a vsg. The hospital also gave me one. I liked this one better than thr hospital one. I felt more secure and less pain.
