This is more of a paste than a cream, meaning it’s stickier and leads to a firmer hold. I have thick coarse hair, and I need something that shapes my waves and holds throughout the day. The first time I used it, I applied too much, and it was hard to work with and hard to brush out. I have been using a smaller amount, and I find it to work very well for me. If you have fine hair, this is probably more hold than you need, and it will make your hair feel a little stiff. For me, this is exactly what I needed.
