I’ve been using this product for almost 40 years. It’s a staple for me and I use it off and on with other leave in hair products when I am due for a switch up, I always have on hand. First discovered in high school. My hair has always been long thick wavy w frizz depending on weather. I love the scent! It has a clean ocean herb scent to me. And because I used it in high school my first memories are of when I fist started using it and times spent on the Jersey Shore. I love how it makes my hair soft, no frizz and defined curls with out crunchiness. And the scent is delightful. I don’t understand negative comments on the scent. Bonus! I love how soft it makes my skin when I have excess on my hands and rub on my arms, etc. The scent lingers a bit too on my skin which I like. If there were 6 stars..... I have been using this product for over 30 years! The results are never disappointing. I have changed hair products many times, often to more expensive brands that promise this and that, but at the end of the day, I go back to the Paul Mitchell Leave in Conditioner! It must be doing something good for my hair because I am frequently getting comments on my "beautiful silky hair", and "nice, healthy looking hair". Even my hairdressers comment on how healthy my hair is! Years of coloring, highlighting, swimming... It is great for restoring the health of my hair. I've been using this product since the early '80's'. It is still the same. It without a doubt is the best leave-in conditioner I've ever tried. Still very light, no heavy residue. Doesn't cause any flaking. I highly recommend!!

Being a male I was having trouble with my thick curly hair when I decided to grow it out. After some research I stumbled across a site that recommended this product. Took me a few days to figure out this stuff can't be bought just anywhere, you actually have to find a salon or some beauty store of sorts. Never liked having to go into a salon and asking about it (little embarrasing being a guy). Saw it here and despite what other reviewers said about recieving a knock off or old merchandise I took the chance. What I recieved is definatly authentic. I've been getting this stuff from the salons for the past year and 1/2 and this stuff is exactly what I've been getting just a larger bottle and significantly cheaper. The Conditioner should be blue in color (if you don't already know) also it should NOT be at all runy or watery. It should have a similar consistency as lotions (like Aveeno). Anyway if your on the fence cause of mixed reviews as I was, don't worry its legit. Or do like I did and buy the smaller bottle first just to be sure. I would recommend and I will be coming back for the bigger bottle when I run out. I have below shoulder length thick curly hair. I use this product almost everyday. Always put in after a shower when my hair is still pretty wet (somewhat dripping but not too much) I do not use a towel on my hair I just kind of wring it out (but gently), anyway this stuff keeps my hair looking moisturized and clean all day yet its soft to the touch. It prevents my hair from drying out and poofing up and it also has a decent hold factor. I kind of use it like hair gel except it doesn't harden your hair and break apart into white flakes when touched. It has a nice subtle smell, not overpowering and not too girly. ... show more

The craziest thing happened to my hair after it grew back from the COVID hair loss (yeah, it's a thing). But thankfully my hair bounced back about a year later, albeit in a very strange way. My hair was originally thin, wispy, and ram rod straight. It grew back in CRAZY curly. I mean, little ringlets all over mixed in with the remaining ramrod straight hair, like I had curled half of it with super small curling rods. I mean, I love the extra body but what do you do with a mess like that? It was untamable. Enter this blue goo from heaven. Yeah, it smells like my gramma, but I love my gramma so I love the smell. I just rub a quarter sized dollop into my ends after washing and comb it through with a wide tooth comb. Then I just let it dry naturally, and blammo, a couple hours of later I have sleek, glossy even curls that look like I actually used hot rollers.
