It smells fine, and it does tone the hair slightly, but it dries the hair significantly - which works against having highlighted hair to begin with, because the struggle with blonde is keeping your hair soft and hydrated. Paul Mitchell Platinum Blonde Conditioner is a wonderful product I have been using alongside the Paul Mitchell Platinum Blonde Shampoo, since allowing my wavy hair to grow gray naturally. It removes any reddish/brasy tones I have as well as adds a natural softness while removing the "frizz" that comes with curls in a humid climate. I would not buy again. The consistency is very thin and not moisturizing. It does do a decent job toning but because the product is so thin I feel like I have to use a large amount to actually cover my hair.
