Truly Plug and Play
I bought this for my daughter's VW Beetle to replace a camera that I had installed with an aftermarket Carplay head unit. That camera had guide lines on it that were annoying and pointed into the sky with no way to turn them off. I simply cut the green wire on this GLK backup camera and plugged the camera into the already existing power and RCA video cable and it worked! Best of all, no more guide lines! Oddly enough, the head unit said the old camera was AHD, but I tried the GLK camera first in the default CVBS HD setting and it worked perfectly so I left it as is. Nice picture too. Very sturdy and nice quality bracket and camera. I'm very pleased with the camera and the great price I got it at.

Great Camera
Great quality camera, easy to install. Although the supplied video cable is VERY lengthy so if you don't need all the length I would recommend getting a shorter cable as well. I didn't have a short one so I just bundled it together and tied it up. Odd that the power wires are so much shorter than the video cable though, but luckily not an issue on my replacement since the wires had already been run.

It is worth it if your looking for something to start off with
It worked great with my car, the video did have lines across the screen from the interference of the ground wires around it but I couldn’t get it to go away. The wide angle lens is convenient and for what it cost, it was worth it. The wiring isn’t really difficult to comprehend and it was a pretty simple setup with my existing wiring I had to my aftermarket stereo, it’s done good with being splashed with water and there isn’t any abnormalities with how it functions after getting wet either.

Read back up camera
I brought this camera cause it hooks up like my old cameras do the problem is once I hook the camera up I just plug in the two wires, cause I already got the wire on it already in the car my old camera that I took off work the problem is boy that got in the lens every time it rains or something or I took it to the car wash this camera and shows no single and it won’t work. The light comes on, but the camera doesn’t work.

Water Resistant
Bought this one to replace a water damaged camera I had installed earlier. This one is filled with glue and seems to be more water resistant ( as advertised with the higher water resistance rating). I went ahead and smothered this one with clear JB Weld epoxy leaving only the camera lens uncovered as an additional precaution for water damage, especially around the entrance to the camera cable. So far, this camera has endured many car washes. I hope it holds up and lasts longer than the last one.
