I have a pillow top mattress, an extra thick original memory foam pad, a down feather bed pad & 2 bamboo toppers. I'm happy to say I can no longer feel the pea hidden under my mattress. Ha 😃 In all seriousness, I'm 60, have scoliosis, have been hit by a car, have damage in my back & hips need replacing from years of running. I won't take medication nor get surgeries. I had a different thicker topper & was still in pain constantly. Since I've changed the topper & have these 2 bamboo toppers I'm no longer in constant pain. It took only 3 nights to notice a difference. This is without a doubt the softest, most comfortable topper I've ever used!😁💗. Now I know I have quite the set up on my bed, but if you're in pain anything that can stop it is worth the money. Can any single topper stop pain? No but if you have only minor aches or poor sleep this is the topper I recommend. I van only say I wish I'd found it sooner. I bought this mattress pad because we got a new mattress a few months ago that said it was "like sleeping on a pillow!" It was more or less just as comfortable as the one we got rid of! It's not a bad mattress, just wish it was more plush. I ordered this pad to hopefully make the mattress softer. This mattress pad did just that. I haven't noticed that it has a cooling aspect to it. But it did not have a smell, and it did poof up as soon as we opened it up and laid it on the bed. It's a decent mattress pad, I just don't have a decent night's sleep! ... show more

Just enough cushioning to alleviate some sagging in my firm pillow top bed and alot more comfort for my back shoulders etc. I slept better and longer for the first time in a long time and did not wake up as much as usual. This topper is amazing. I need a topper so I wasn’t expecting much because they always arrive in a vacuum bag and are never as fluffy as pictured. I have received many and you open them up and they do inflate somewhat. This inflated so much and so pillowy. It’s incredibly fluffy and comfy. Have this on a Room & Board couch that converts to a full bed, and it’s made the bed much more comfortable while being thin enough to store folded up in the couch’s storage compartment. Wish it was a little more thick/substantial, like a pad, but then it wouldn’t be as storeable.

It’s not going to make your mattress plush, but that’s not what I wanted as I prefer firm. Only issues is that the padded portion doesn’t totally fit the top of the mattress.
