I've been hunting for a bench press that is not crazy expensive and isn't the type where you lie down and press up. I found it at last! I am so happy with it. It's compact to fit in most spaces. It isn't too heavy, but it's sturdy. I like that you can adjust the seat to sit straight up at a 90* angle or go back from there all the way to 180*! It's easy to adjust the resistance too. I'm nearly 65 and used to lift weights in college and then quit. I'm back at it, and this machine is very good. The foot panel is huge. I like to place my feet halfway off the panel for a deeper muscle feeling; you can adjust your feet in different directions and work other muscles like the inner and outer thigh. It has two sets of hand bars to hold on to if you want to. I'm at a seven and it's pretty good resistance, but it goes all the way to 12. My husband, a lifelong runner with great legs did 12 and was extremely impressed. He said he could actually go to 10 for less of a workout. All in all, this is a 10 out of 10, a five out of five. It's esthetically pleasing, moveable, sturdy, comfortable for my bony backside and just great in every way. Do be prepared to work on putting it together for a bit over an hour if doing it alone. There are lots of small parts, but everything is there and the instructions are clearly explained.

This appears to be a good leg press machine for a home gym. It's sturdy and stable. The footprint is far smaller than the larger ones I considered. It has plenty of resistance, even for the strongest men. Assembly was pretty simple but the assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. There were 5 steps. There should be more. Most people will only assemble this once. The assembly instructions should recognize this and make each frame piece a step or substep.

I’m a former bodybuilder, but I sustained a debilitating leg injury on my job and can no longer squat or leg press heavy. I’ve been hoping to find a small, affordable leg press machine for our home gym, and this Pasyou PM35 is a perfect fit. It’s hydraulic, so requires no weight plates. (Let’s clear up one thing: the piston has 12 resistance settings, but is no way the advertised equivalent of 1300 lbs of weights!) My equally disabled husband and I assembled it in about 3 hours. I laid out all the components, labeled them, and placed them in six groups according to the six steps of assembly. The directions are very easy to follow, with excellent illustrations. Everything bolts together perfectly; but I suggest using rachets and larger allen wrenches instead of the serviceable but small tools that come with it. Lastly, I suggest buying some non-slip bathtub appliqués to affix to the very slick surface of the foot plate. Bottom line: this is a nice, high quality, lightweight piece of equipment, which will work perfectly for my physical therapy. I am a woman who likes to lift weights and needed a bench. I bought this due to price and the description sounded good. It is perfect! It is so well made. It is sturdy and solid. I did bench press with about 50 pounds and it doesn't move a bit, totally solid on my floor. It was super easy to put together. The foot rests are nice as they are adjustable for your size or comfort. It looks really nice as well. The red striping is nice. It is cushioned just right. Not mushy and not too firm. The adjustments for the back are perfect as well. I could do all my dumbell lifts perfectly. It is very solid when you adjust the back. The metal finish is very very nice. As for folding to store it. I at first found it a challenge to do it, but once I did it a few times it's super simple. It fits right behind a chair nicely in my living room. I leave it out most days but when I have company or need the room I fold it and slide it behind the chair. Just perfect. All the bolts and fittings are excellent. For the price of this bench, I would recommend it highly. It is made so well and is so solid. It has made my workout so much better. A perfect purchase! It arrived really fast after ordering as well. Fast assembly, and I was working out! If you need a bench for your home workout do not hesitate to buy this, it really is perfect.

The materials are really nice and assembly was easy, however it could be better designed in terms of safety. The incline/decline adjustment feature does not lock in place. While preparing for incline dumbbell press I was slightly adjusting myself in the seat and nearly tipped forward due to weight distribution. When this happed the bar which holds back rest in place lifted out of its notch and the whole bench nearly collapsed into the decline position from underneath me... Had a similar experience with bench press in the flat position. Was a little sweaty and the back rest was stiking to me when I lifted up causing it to shift out of place... With a weight capacity of 700 pounds this is supposed to be engineered for heavy lifting, but this design flaw in not have the incline/decline feature lock in place makes it unsafe. I might just keep it because I already destroyed the box it came in but be very careful when using this bench. I would highly recommend getting a bench that LOCKS into place to avoid injury while working out. I've only had it for a week and had a close call during each use. Be very sure of your movements... Also the rubber pads for the feet have crappy adhesive and keep falling off.
