Very pleased with it. Hests a 5 gallon bucket of water up pretty quickly!! There was a delay in shipping on behalf of Amazon, but it was functional upon arrival. Recommended! Price was comparable to others in this class of immersion heaters. Has a case surrounding the rod. It'll be extremely hot when you pull it out of the water. I hung mine up so it vould cool off without melting anything! I'd buy this again!!

This specific unit features a longer-lasting, highly conductive titanium heating element over standard stainless steel, which naturally prevents rust and corrosion with repeated use. The inner heating element utilizes magnesium oxide to transfer heat efficiently, and the open-slot outer cage design allows for superior water circulation compared to basic models. According to the manufacturer, it can heat a standard 5-gallon bucket in about 8 minutes. CRITICAL SAFETY FEATURES & SETUP: The manufacturer is highly vigilant about safety compliance, which is a massive plus. The unit includes a clear, translucent NEMA 3-prong grounded plug, allowing you to visually inspect the internal wiring and connections before plugging it in. Because this heater draws a continuous 1500W of power until unplugged, knowing what is happening behind the scenes is crucial to prevent fire or shock. This water heater seems to be thought very well. In a separate small bag you will find the digital thermometer which has an external wired temperature probe, to monitor the temperature of the water. The thermometer comes with the batteries installed and a plastic tab to prevent battery draining. In most devices, you pull the tab to make the device work. In this thermometer, you have to open the battery compartment, remove the batteries, remove the plastic tab, reinsert the batteries. If you try to just pull the tab, it will not come out. The heater comes in a sealed bag It has a plastic cage to prevent contact with the heater element itself, and avoid burns to the body and to the container in which it is used. The immersion heater measures 35mm in diameter and 245mm long, not including the cable strain relief. The power cord is 79" long. I noticed that the power cable strain relief rotates freely with respect to the cable. I hope it is not an indication that water will leak into the electrical connections. The plug has a removable plastic protector for the prongs. The plug is molded in clear plastic and it includes a neon light to indicate that power is present. The power cord also has a label indicating that the heater element should be fully immersed in the water. The label has the FCC logo... why? Is there any radio frequency generation inside the immersion heater? hmmm.... The metallic heater element itself is marked as follows: 1500W 120V Titanium 202411 DURING USE THE HEATER MUST BE COMPLETELY SUBMERGED IN WATER OTHER USE WILL DAMAGE BY DRY BURNING Because it is an electrical heater, it is of the utmost importance that the outlet and the extension cord used, if any, have the proper grounding both at the receptacle as in the plug ends. The extension cord should be capable of handling 15 amps continuously. Keep in mind that conventional wall outlets with grounding prong are rated for 15 amps, so no other device connected to the same outlet should be used at the same time. The instructions indicate that it should not be used in metal containers. The instructions also indicate that neither the container or water should be touched when the heater element is energized and submerged in the water, and that the heater must be unplugged and allowed to cool down before removing from the water. The instructions recommend the use of a thermometer to determine the heating time (what??) and water temperature. In any case this immersion heater does its job and does it well; I do like it. Only time will tell how long it lasts.

As a Vine reviewer, I’ve tested a few different immersion heaters over the years—mostly for heating water for outdoor cleaning or warming up a small inflatable soaking tub. This 1500W Titanium model stands out for a few specific reasons, but there are some safety protocols you definitely need to follow. Build Quality & Material The standout feature here is the Titanium element. Most budget heaters use stainless steel, which can eventually corrode or "pit" if you have hard water or use it frequently. Titanium is much more resistant to mineral buildup and chemical corrosion. The guard around the element is sturdy enough to prevent the heating coil from touching the bottom of your plastic bucket, which is essential to avoid a literal meltdown. Performance At 1500W, this pulls about 12.5 Amps. On a standard 15-amp household circuit, this means you cannot run anything else (like a vacuum or a hair dryer) on the same circuit without tripping a breaker. The Test: I used this to heat a 5-gallon bucket of cold tap water (approx. 55°F). It brought the water to a steaming 110°F in about 12–15 minutes. Small Pools: If you’re trying to heat a 200-gallon "stock tank" pool, be realistic—this will take several hours to see a significant temp rise. It’s best suited for 5–20 gallon applications. Safety (Read This!) This is a high-draw appliance. The NEMA 5-15P plug is a standard three-prong grounded plug. Water Level: You must ensure the heating element is fully submerged before plugging it in. If you run it "dry," it will burn out the fuse (or the element) in seconds. Stay Out of the Water: Do not put your hands in the water while this is plugged in. Even with the grounded plug, it’s best practice to unplug it before testing the temperature with your hand. GFCI is a Must: Only use this with a GFCI-protected outlet (the ones with the "test/reset" buttons). Since you’re mixing 1500W of electricity with water, you want that extra layer of protection. Pros: Titanium Element: Better longevity than stainless steel. Heavy Duty Cord: The cable doesn't get excessively hot during a 20-minute run. Fast Heating: Maxes out the power available from a standard US wall outlet.
