I live in the Pacific Northwest and as you can imagine it can get a bit cold and it does rain. I was looking for a suitable overcoat to keep me from the elements. I found this PASLTER Men's Slim Fit Trench Coat Double Breasted Notched Lapel Classic Mid-Long Windbreaker Jacket and thought I would give it a try. One of the first things that I noticed was that it was a little bit on the lightweight side for an overcoat. It just doesn't have that substantial feel that an overcoat should but that isn't a deal breaker. It has a nice full collar and a doublebreasted button up design giving it a Bogart in Casablanca classy look. It was very very wrinkled when I received it so I'm going to give it a quick wash and dry to see if the wrinkles come out. By the way, when washing it you should wash it only in cold water and with similar style colors with no bleach or fabric softener. It can be tumbled dry on low or hang it to line dry. The sleeves have a button down strap at the wrist which are just for appearance and it has a belt that has a regular pin buckle so as to secure it to your waist. It has a very nice lining in it, a left inside breast pocket as well as 2 large front pockets to put your hands into. The coat hangs down about 6 inches above the knee which is a comfortable location and doesn't prohibit you when you walk. The coat is of good value for the price it was sold at. To find a finer designed coat other than this would be well into the hundreds of dollars so with good quality and great value this coat is one you should check out. ... show more

This is a respectable budget stab at a dress trench coat. The coat runs definitely to the "slim fit" side, so size up if baggier fit is your speed. It seems decently made, with no obvious manufacturing flaws. The main issue I would have is the material does seems a little cheap, but also I mean I would (and you should) expect that at this price point so not the end of the world.     • Works as a nice light weight jacket
I am 5'-10" and 170#. The medium size jacket looks great on me and fits well. However, it is a bit tight when sitting and reaching forward to type on the computer as I am doing now. I usually go for a large size and I believe a large would be better for me, but would not look as good. This is not a thick jacket, but works great if a little extra warmth is needed. What is described as a waist belt is not located at the waist. It is actually above the stomach. Because of this I feel the jacket works better without the belt. In the listing pictures is shows the belt located between the bottom and middle set of buttons. On the jacket I received the belt is located directly over the middle set of buttons which is much too high. If it were lower it would then cover the pockets. A different size may have the belt located in a different location, but for the medium size it is best to forget about the belt. ... show more

It's an okay looking coat, just nothing special and definitely not business look or anything formal, semi formal. I think what I don't like the most is the material of the coat, it feels cheap and plastic like. As you move, it makes noise, so is annoying to walk with it. This coat is a slim fit, I got the M size and it fits just right. I probably use it on a rainy/windy day to go for a walk or to the dog park, just nothing that requires a good look. ... show more

The material on this jacket isn't the best, and it looks a bit cheap. While then jacket fits fine and is comfortable, I found that the shoulders are way more narrow than any other part of the coat. If the coat is slim fit, then the only part that is slim is the shoulders. It isn't uncomfortable in the shoulders, you can't feel it there - it just looks odd having a well fitted jacket everywhere but the shoulders. ... show more

For what's supposed to be a slim fit jacket, it runs on the large side. Otherwise, it looks great and is stylish. It isn't very heavy so it probably won't keep you really warm in the colder months, but it is waterproof and great for wet weather.
