  • Beautiful writing instrument!
Color: Blue and Chrome
Two things I didn't expect (probably didn't read the item description fully): The black grip is plastic, not metal like the rest of the body. The cartridge sticks slightly farther out than usual but doesn't affect how the cap fits.

  • Feels like a more expensive pen
Color: Black and Gold
Beautiful finish, nice weight, and very smooth writing. This pen is an affordable little luxury.

  • Great for the price, will buy more for gifts.
Color: Black and Chrome
I already owned a Parker IM fountain pen (pictured next to this IM rollerball pen). These two pens look identical from the outside, but the fountain pen is definitely heavier and more solidly built than the rollerball. I took each apart, and each piece of the fountain pen weighs more than the coordinating piece of the rollerball. But then again, this is expected with the price difference. The main difference I noticed in the construction of each (aside from rollerball vs fountain) is that whereas the fountain pen has metal threads, the rollerball has plastic. But again, at nearly one fifth the cost, this is to be expected. I bought two of the IM rollerballs (one as a gift). Neither have any problem with the cap coming off. However, I did have problems with the refills. The refill that came with one pen works beautifully. The ink flows nicely, it dries fast enough for my left-handed writing to be smudge free, and it is as smooth as butter. However the other refill is scratchy and the ink flows poorly. Please see picture for comparison. I noticed that the cap on the dry/scratchy refill fell right off, whereas the cap on the good refill was on quite snugly. I think maybe the poor refill has partially dried out in storage/transit. I will be contacting the seller for a replacement to the poor refill. As several of the one-star reviews said that it was complicated to put the refill in the pen, I have posted a picture to show how simple it is. Also, some reviews said theirs came without the gift box. Both of mine came in white boxes with the gift box inside. One of mine had the "pretty" outer part of the gift box slightly taped to the outside box. The result was the inside of the gift box could slide out while the "pretty" part never showed. I cannot be certain, but I think this may be the problem these people had. In short, I am happy with these pens, but it looks to me like Parker has a small quality control problem when it comes to their rollerball refills. If you are buying this as a gift, go ahead and test the pen before gifting it. You can put that on Parker if you want, but the responsible thing is to check out a gift before you give it to avoid your own embarrassment. Update: I got the replacement for the pen that was scratchy/poor ink flow within a day. The refill with the new pen works great. ... show more

  • Very good pen.
Color: Blue and Chrome
This pen has a good solid weight to it, feels solid throughout. The only problem was the ink cartridge, the pen was slightly skipping. It's a good thing that I had read that Parker had a bad batch of cartridges a while back so I bought a new cartridge from Office Max and it works perfectly. The only reason I gave it four stars was simply because of the original ink cartridge it came with. Parker should have changed the faulty one with the right one to begin with. Still, this is a beautiful pen. Don't let other people use it, they'll steal it from you for sure! ... show more

  • Coffee looks more gray…
Color: Dark Espresso and Chrome
Outside of my potential color blindness, the pen writes remarkably well. I highly recommend!

  • Not bad but just Parker
Color: Blue and Chrome
It's a pretty pen that should have been metal or shellacked. It's decent across the board but with Scriveiner on the market I would not buy it again. Pay the extra 10 bucks and go British.

  • Best pen I’ve ever purchased
Color: Black and Chrome
Im a professional with a job requires a lot of writing. I am always on the hunt for a pen that looks nice, is comfortable to use, writes instantly and consistently every time and is affordable (because sometimes they get lost). I have finally found it. I have purchased more expensive that have failed at least one of my criteria. This one hits all three. I have been using it for a couple months now and from the moment I pull it from my pocket to the moment I put it back, it writes beautifully. It has decent heft to it, but not so heavy that it tires your hand during longer writing sessions. The refills are easy to install and lasted about 2 months of daily writing. The only negative I can find is that the ink can bleed through if you pause for too long, but that is common with a rollerball so not a deal breaker. ... show more
