If a person cuts their paper in half, it shreds fast and without jams. This product shreds paper, but it is extremely slow if it isn't fed through the tight slot at an exact downward position. Bottom line, when I cut the 8 x 11 inch paper in half I had no problems shredding. I did not shred cd's or cc cards.

The shredder seems to work decent, it is not as good as the old one that I had, which finally quit after many many years. The first day I used it I had a lot of papers to shred because they’ve been piling up and it got hot and quit for a while but it started working again so I guess it’s OK.

I purchased this product to replace my shredder of 10 years with trash bin. I ended up returning it. Not the quality I was expecting. The slot to place paper wasn’t wide enough. Spent a little more and got another with bin and wheels.

I purchased this instead of a full bin included shredder to save on space and it does that :) however there are a few cons to consider. This is as heavy as the shredding portion of a regular bin included shredder, for obvious and safety reasons you need to hold this with one hand using the extendable handle…. If you have weak wrists this would be difficult. In terms of the shredding it just cuts whatever you put in into long strips, therefore very easy for someone to put them back together which is of no use if you’re looking to shred private docs etc Not sure if I’d recommend but that would depend on your purpose for purchasing
