The Panasonic Performance Hair Clipper ER-GC63 is a powerful tool for cutting hair and trimming beards at home. This washable mens trimmer uses a 45-Degree blade edge forged from premium Japanese stainless steel to cut through even thick or hard hair with ease. An adjustable length dial works with two comb attachments to provide up to 39 precise trim length settings from .5-20 mm in intervals of 0.5 mm (cutting to .5 mm is possible when not using an attachment), so you can nail different haircuts and styles. Corded/cordless operation gives you the freedom to cut hair anywhere, at home or when traveling. To maintain peak hair trimmer performance, rinse blades after each use and replace when dulled, about once every 3 years with Panasonic WER9605.

Bought this for my husband and it is amazing! The fact that you don’t need a bunch of different guards, it charges directly in the wall with no cords is the best for someone who doesn’t want clutter! My husband, said it cuts so easily, and the dile is a game changer. It takes 1 or 2 times to figure out what your preferred length is, but super easy to tweak. The fact it doesn’t have any attachments, makes it even better for travel and keeping countertops clean. This shaver feels durable and easily trims hair, you don’t feel any heat. The Panasonic Body and Beard Trimmer is the best I've ever owned; I'd put it in the same class as the trimmer my barber uses. The trimmer is a little bit heavier than the other brands, but that's a good thing. The trimmer feels solid in your hand and is easy to guide. The device is well engineered and does a great job keeping my beard and mustache trimmed cleanly. I've had it for three months now, and the blades are still sharp and it gives me the same trim that I got the day it arrived from Amazon. I've owned many beard trimmers over the years. The Wahl trimmers are lightweight, have a narrow cutting head, the beard-combs are flimsy plastic and easily move out of place, and after a couple months use, the blades seemed dull and I started getting uneven trims. I've owned three Braun Cruzers over the years; the Braun use to be my favorite until I discovered the Panasonic model. The problem with the Braun is that it does not travel well. The adjustable plastic comb is supported for use, but not for packing; every model I've owned has suffered a broken comb in travel. The Panasonic's comb and adjustment mechanism do not suffer from the bizarre Braun design and thru three months of heavy travel, they have held up to airline baggage handlers and being thrown around by taxi drivers without a nick. My five-star rating is not to say that the Panasonic device is not without it's flaws. My real rating would been a 4.9 if Amazon allowed partial star ratings. There are two areas of improvement that I hope Panasonic would consider. First, the travel bag is a joke - it's flimsy and there is not enough space for both the clipper and the charger; for nearly $100 I'd expect more. I found a Tumi zippered bag that does the trick for $7. Second, and this is a knock on all portable non-computer/phone devices with a charger, and that is, every low-power portable device should be USB-C compatible. The voltage specs on the Panasonic charger indicate that the power requirements fit nicely inside the USB power capability. I swear that 15% of my suitcase weight is attributable to chargers. And once every couple of months, I realize I've forgotten and donated an odd-ball charger to the hotel housekeeping staff. I would rather carry one or two USB chargers and two or three USB-C cables to power all of my devices. And if I loose a cable or charger, it's easily replaced; unlike the goofy charger and connector Panasonic provides. And certainly with the commodity pricing of USB-C, Panasonic could probably shave-off [no pun intended] some of the bill-of-materials cost... And now that I think about it for a bit, if Panasonic adopts USB-C charger connections, then there is no reason to increase the size of the travel bag.

I like the different size adjustments. from 1 mm to 10 mm. I even cut hair with it. Easy to use, adjust and clean. My only concern is the guard itself, it feels like it might break easier than it should but we will see. so far brilliant.

Update: after poking around a little I discovered: it turns out they use a different kind of battery in this. It requires 24hrs to charge. When you do so it does seem to last an almost reasonable amount of time: will hold a charge for up to a week and I can get a couple of trimmings out of it or one good shave with a little juice left over. Still not great but it saved me from getting rid of it. Increased to 3 stars because at least it is usable, even if not as convenient as it should be for the price. Old review: If you are like me you are unable to find a quality shaver on the market anymore. Keep looking because this isn't it. Its in the line of these new shavers that have batteries that can't last through a single extremely quick trim, let alone hold a charge for 5-7 days. Every single time I take it out to use it the battery is immediately dying even if I just charged it. Total garbage. These manufacturers are just selling garbage these days for the same price that you used to be able to get a decent shaver that would hold a charge and function with no problems for years. Clearly they weren't making enough money making quality products so they switched to making junk. It really shows with this product. GARBAGE!
