The first thing I noticed about this oven was weight. It's HEAVY! In fact that's what UPS sticker on the box said, cause they are trying to warn their fast-moving drivers and protect their backs. Went back to the ad and looked for a weight but there was none. I'm 89 and I could just about lift it onto my counter. My old Panasonic was feather-light, guess that's what they meant when they told me this one was stainless steel, huh)? Next was the door latch. It closes very easily compared to the heavy spring on my old oven. Nice to operate but I wonder if it's sealing those microwaves in as well. What's really kind of objectionable is the power. I thought my old oven was 1000watts (can't remember and they don't mark them). It is more powerful than this one. I'll use instant oatmeal for my example. It's very fussy about the time you set it for. A few seconds too short and it's not done, 2 seconds too long and it boils over, making a mess. My old oven took 1 minute and 16 seconds, or in microwave talk 116 (that's with 2/3 cup of water from the fridge for temperature consistency). This new oven takes 127. 116/127 = .913. So the new oven has 91% of the power that the old one had, if you just count cooking time. So does this mean I should add 10% more cooking time to all my heat-ups? Beats me, but that's probably going to be my working theory till I find otherwise. Most foods it doesn't matter that much and it's all guessing anyway. Correction: 76 seconds/87 seconds = .873 = 87% as powerful ... show more

I replaced the 2nd "bad Frigidaire" microwave with this one. Have owned 2 Frigidaire's of the same model and they both failed. Would not shut off when when plugged in, touch pads would not function and revolving plate would not turn. Don't buy a Frigidaire!

My microwave purchased February 10,2024. Today's date October 24,2024. Digits on read out have started dying. Also when you push button to open sometime it requires you grip button of door to pull it open. I have had good service from pass Panasonic products but not with this one. Also there is not a service center in my area and they say will have to ship back for repair or replacement at my expense, completely unexceptable. Would not purchase again. ... show more

My more than ten year old microwave finally gave out so I figured I'd buy the newer equivalent. Right out of the box I was able to set it up and use it no problem. Instructions are easy to work with and it heats up the food perfectly. Happy with the product as I was with my late microwave.

My old microwave decided to die so we ordered this. I have been looking around for a while and found this, with a lower price than one of their competitors. Cosmetically the unit has not changed but it doesn't cook everything to death like the old one did. I'm very pleased.
