As a caregiver for my elderly mom, I was constantly worried about her being bombarded by spam calls. We decided to try the Panasonic Cordless Phone with Answering Machine (KX-TGE633M) in Metallic Black, and it's been a game-changer! Here's a detailed breakdown of its features and how they've benefited us: Pros - Advanced Call Blocking - This has been the biggest win for us. We were able to easily program the phone to block numbers from our mom's caller ID history, as well as implement Panasonic's built-in call blocking features. This has significantly reduced the number of unwanted calls she receives, giving her much-needed peace of mind. ( any number that calls her phone that is not associated with a person or business is blocked, which are mainly 'robo calls' and are dangerous for elderly because they have a tendency to talk with them vs hanging up immediately and can cause confusion and potentially financial harm ) Bilingual Caller ID - This feature is fantastic. We can easily switch between English and Spanish for caller ID displays, making it easier for my mom to identify incoming calls. High-Contrast Display- The large, high-contrast display is perfect for seniors. The numbers and text are clear and easy to read, which is a huge improvement over her old phone's tiny screen. Amplified Handset Volume - The handset volume can be easily adjusted, which is helpful for those with hearing limitations. My mom can now hear calls clearly without any trouble. Answering Machine with Large Capacity - The answering machine has a generous recording capacity, allowing callers to leave detailed messages. We had an older version of this phone for at least 10 years. My mom is 93 and we needed new phones. I was worried about finding a new style of phone and her having to try to figure out how to use it. I was so excited to see that Amazon had this phone and had all the same features of our original Panasonic phones. Very easy to use! No real set up.needed. I’ve had it a while. I haven’t recorded an outgoing message yet, but it still records incoming messages. My last Panasonic phone-answering message set lasted over 10 years, I think. Hope value for my money. with my new ones.
