[Pros] Only 1 Attachment for 19 adjustable settings (!!!), waterproof (!!!), ergonomic, powerful enough to not require too many swipes. [Cons] None that I've found. Maybe other color options for the rubber would be nice? This is the perfect beard trimmer, especially at this price range (was purchased holiday season 2014 for $35). I understand that some people might give a bad review because they got a defective product; sometimes that just happens. That's one reason we shop Amazon, it's no hassle to get a replacement. -- But 95% of these complaints I'm seeing really aren't legitimate. Allow me to note the strengths of this trimmer, before debunking some of the cons: ~ The 19 Setting Single Attachment: Anyone who really maintains facial hair understands how crucial fine length-settings are. 1 millimeter's difference in length of hair on a face is noticeable. There's plenty of horrible trimmers out there with a couple of set attachments; with this one you can adjust in 0.5mm increments with JUST ONE attachment to keep up with (and clean!!!) ~ Waterproof: ... ... It's waterproof. Want to use it in the shower? It's waterproof. Want to clean the head? It's waterproof. Beard trimmings sticking to the rubber handle and can't be brushed off (an old pet-peeve of mine). IT'S WATERPROOF. ~ Ergonomics and Power: Pretty simple on this; it fits the hand nicely, the head isn't overly large so you can pop off the attachment and do detail work, and the motor provides ample power to clip hair cleanly. Now to address the common criticisms, which don't make a lot of sense to me honestly: ~ "I have to oil it after every use! Wah wah!": Um... use some common sense here. The instructions do say to oil it after every use, but... come on guys. Really? It's able to be used WET. If you're constantly running it through water, would you need to reapply oil more? Sure. Too much work for you? Use it as a dry razor and oil it as you normally would. -- You do not have to oil this any more than any other trimmer, unless of course you are washing away the oil all the time. ~ "Battery no last me long, only 50 minutes. Wah wah!": ... Ok, I'm noticing a trend here. Apparently, technology should run on fairy dust and magical rainbow farts or something. Who out there is seriously using their beard trimmer for 50 minutes in one use??? Or even a week??? So... let me get this straight: It's too much to ask that this hand-held, waterproof, compact beard-cutting machine be charged for a day once a week. ... ... ... ... Ok Justin Beiber, let's go to Spoiled Prince Land. I could go on with some of the other comments I've seen about parts snapping off or something -- Again, I'm not saying there has never been a defective product shipped, but I will say this thing is really heavy and sturdy and well... people who complain about having to reapply oil after WASHING IT OFF probably also have clumsy hands and don't pay attention to the way they are supposed to push/pull something and just break it.     • Decent trimmer for the price

Works well for me. I trim for maybe 5 minutes at a time and maybe twice a week, so the 50 minute battery life is good enough for my use. I might charge after a few weeks to as long as maybe 1 month for a few hours. I followed the instructions on the initial use to charge for several hours but never bothered to keep the charging regiment afterwards and it has worked fine. I'm not sure why some of the other reviewers here are complaining about charging times; maybe lack of knowledge about how to actually maintain batteries? Like most NiMH powered devices, the charger is probably just a trickle charger to prevent damage to the battery if a user should store their trimmer in the cradle with the power always on; the long charge times should be enough of a clue to know this. There is a way to position the trimmer to prevent contacts from touching the charger if one cares enough to figure out how to do that. It has a very good shape for comfortable grip and is pretty light-weight for the medium~large sized hands. Easy to remove comb and blades for cleaning. Although a wet/dry trimmer, I don't bother rinsing or getting the device wet too often. Maybe every few months if I really want to give it a wash, I just think the blades and metals would rust/corrode sooner with frequent exposure to water so I don't do more than just use the included brush to remove hair trimmings. I find tissue paper works best for cleaning the blade. Of course, don't forget to oil; if you're not exposing the trimmer to water all the time, you can probably oil at every 2-3 uses. I would have liked for the trimmer to have a comb guard for 11~20-mm length, I prefer the look of longer hairs and 10-mm is too short for my preference. I guess that's why this trimmer is only $40 while the Panasonic GB60 is at $65. It is my first trimmer however, and for the value I like the product. ... show more
