I've never owned an indoor waterfall before, so I had no idea what to expect when I ordered this unit. The tabletop fountain arrived in a very sturdy cardboard box, and all the components were surprisingly well-packed in the box. The included components seem to be of average quality (the large base bowl is really thin, but probably doesn't matter). Assembly was pretty straightforward using the included instructions. When I first turned it on, the water pump was squirting water a good 4 to 5 inches above the top of the slate, which was causing water to splatter everywhere, making a big mess. I consulted the instruction manual, and there was no info regarding adjusting the flow of the pump. I disassembled the fountain, and upon close inspection of the water pump, I discovered a little switch on the side of the pump that has several positions. I selected the second from the bottom (lowest) setting, and now the water just barely rises above the surface of the top slate, which allows the water to trickle over the slate as it should. Much better. Not sure why the manufacturer neglected to disclose this function... In operation, the fountain does as it's supposed to do- trickles water over the slate, and back into the bowl of water. For some reason, it's not an overwhelmingly soothing sound. Reminds me of a kitchen sink faucet dripping into a pan of water. Most definitely not a "soothing rain sound". One minor annoyance- this unit does not have a power switch. You have to unplug it to shut it off, which is not terribly handy if you have it plugged in behind a piece of furniture! Overall, I guess it's an indoor tabletop fountain. I'm certainly not going to rush out and start buying more of these things, if all I get for my effort is dripping water sounds.

Pump is too small, didn't seal to the opening. When I sealed it, wad too weak and water didn't go through the end openings. Ended up leaking all over ad a result. Can't even use this. Waste of money.

The look of this caught my attention, since I have long wanted an indoor water feature, I ordered it. It was easy to set up and looks beautiful. However, that’s pretty much where the love begins to fade. Operation, requires pulling and unplugging; no switch. Not a major issue but (personally) terribly inconvenient once in place where we want it; constantly accessing the plug is a real nuisance. Water flow, while it is adjustable (at the pump), is less than efficient. We either got too much that would make a mess or too little that the sound is an annoying drip/intermittent drizzle. This sound is most definitely not soothing or relaxing; makes me want to locate and stop the leaky faucet noise. We opted just to use it as a visual element; instead of fussing with plugging, unplugging, and enduring the annoying drip, or the water mess made when we got the water sound just right.

This water effect is absolutely gorgeous! It comes packaged securely and I was surprised to find out that the basin is not heavy it is actually a bronze/copper satiny color made of heavy-duty plastic. This is perfect for me because I live in an area with hard water and this makes clean up easier. It took less than 5 minutes to assemble, it comes with river rocks and all of the pieces fit into the designated areas securely. The slate rock is the heaviest piece and it slides onto the hook easily. After assembly you simply plug it in, there are small holes that run through the top of the hook that flow down the slate, there is also a light effect. It is beautiful to look up, the tones of the piece are earthy and the sound is enough to carry through two of my rooms. I am extremely pleased with this, it is soothing to look at and listen to.

This is a lovely little water fountain for a tabletop. The slate pieces make for an interesting and pleasant design. The only things that knocked it down from 5 stars to 4 for me were 2 things: 1. It should come with a few more rocks in my opinion. Easy enough to solve with rocks of your own. 2. The pump is not really adjustable. It's either on or off with the plug. It would be nice to take the volume down a little bit to give it a softer and gentler feel. However, if you want the stronger sound of the pump, you will not be disappointed here. The in-cord light is a nice touch as well, and you can position it how you want to create some nice accent lighting within the pump (and it's submersible as well).

I've been getting a little area in my living room together and thought that I could add this to it. It looks great in general, but especially in the space. It took less than 5 minutes to put together and it comes with more rocks than needed, which is nice. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to add a little something to an are without breaking the bank or taking up too much space.

Just got this and immediately assembled it. It was very easy to assemble! The slate is gorgeous and real, no plastic here. I just love the sound of the water and the lights are a great touch to the entire ambiance of the fountain. This would make a great gift for anyone, including yourself! I highly recommend this!!!
