My old sink mat had become discolored so I've been looking for a new one for a while now. I didn't find it easy to find a square mat that looked nice and was as I wanted. I ended up deciding on this mat because I do really like everything I own from OXO Good Grips - though my other items are spoon etc. This also had good reviews. I have no regrets on this purchase. The mat is better than I expected and looks good too. I didn't think I wanted those larger spaces in the mat but actually I find them really handy for propping up dishes that have been hand washed; my previous mat had small holes in the bottom but things would often slide down when propped up. The grey color ends up just looking neutral in my white sink and I don't think it will show stains so easily as my old one. There are small 'feet' on the bottom side to keep the mat off the surface and allow air flow. Nothing is scratchy so it's completely safe in my granite sink yet it stays where I place it well. This has no odor even right out of the box. It feels thick and strong. Due to the quality I feel it is a good value for the price. I really like it. Very sturdy, made well. Alittle expensive but worth it. Should last a couple of years. Well made. I like the gray color. Would buy again. I bought a cheap one at walmart and had to throw away.

Bought this sink mat several months ago and find that I like it very much. I bought it to replace one that I'd had for several years. I like this one even better than my last one. Works great at protecting the stainless steel sink and it looks nice in the sink too. I would purchase this again.
