DO NOT BUY!!!! please do your research. Look at the comments on Reddit. I have had this for 3 months and it keeps losing connection. Now even though it is recording and connected the live stream does not work. Apparently this is normal for this item. Save your money and just avoid this item completely. I don’t know why there so many bad reviews but overall this camera is great ! The setup is quick and easy and the color is nice ! The best part bout it is the audio is really clear when your away from your baby you can hear it really well. I give this product a 8/10 :)

I really like this owlet camera, we have the sock too and it works great. The camera has an extremely long cord which I love, I don’t have it mounted, I have a flexible tripod holder so I can move the camera between crib, bassinet, and swing wherever I need it at the time. I gave 4 stars because I never had an issue until we lost power one night. As soon as I was able to get it reconnected, it now randomly goes offline about once a week. It takes forever to re-pair to the WiFi and that’s very inconvenient when you have a sleeping baby and you realize you can’t use the camera because it’s not paired. I’ve tried resetting it completely and it continues to unsync about once a week. There is about a 3-4 second delay from the time that you see and hear in real time vs what comes through the camera as an FYI. ... show more

I have had this camera for about a year and I’m giving up! Anytime you travel with it, or it gets unplugged and you have to pair it back with your internet it is AWFUL! You have to push the button in back and listen for it to say “ready to pair” - then type in the Internet password and then scan the camera with the QR code that pops up… does not seem hard, however, it often does not work and you have to start the whole process over again. It will tell you that it is pairing, and it will be ready in four minutes, however most of the time it just continues and does not do anything at all and sometimes it pops up with the error code. I just spent 40 minutes trying to pair it to my own Internet (it accidentally got unplugged earlier) and I have finally given up. I am back on Amazon to order a different camera. ... show more

Update 1 year in: Whoever designed this product should be ashamed of themselves. This is nothing but a useless paperweight. A BABY SAFETY DEVICE SHOULD WORK 99% OF THE TIME. IT WORKS MAYBE 50%. Don’t waste your money, or energy on this awful company. The app almost never works. We got this so we didn’t need to use a different app to monitor since we have the sock too, unfortunately the sock is great and the camera only works when it wants to. Very frustrating. ... show more
