If you need a bottle for your bedside this is it. I often wake up during night and drink water. I don't like having cups on my night stand as they can easily be knocked over. Other bottles are difficult to clean and mold grows easily in the mouth piece. This bottle keeps the water cool all night, does not spill when I drink in bed and is easy to clean and mold does not grow easily on the straw or the mouth piece. I have noticed that they have updated the bottle to a newer version that looks like you would not be able to drink in bed with it and that is a shame. There are many disabled, elderly and other people who can benefit from a bottle like this that is easy to sip from and doesn't spill out all over the place it you tilt it when lying down. I love this water bottle. It has a straw that’s protected and keeps my water cold just as long as my Stanley but without leaking. I’ve been using a Stanley cup for about 6 mo and I’m definitely switching to this because it’s leak proof, easy to carry and keeps drinks cold over night.

This is the third owala bottle I own, this last one I ordered through Amazon, I bought the others at Walmart, the straw keeps coming loose from the slot. It might a defective one cause the other ones are perfectly fine.

I was on a plane recently when I decided to take a drink from this particular water bottle. Suddenly I was transported to the scene of a lovely marble fountain, except I was the peeing cherub at its center. As I opened the bottle, water spouted from the straw in a 2-foot high stream, hitting the passenger directly across the row from me. I felt like I had just successfully pulled off a magic trick that I was not attempting to begin with. As hilarious as it was, it was also deeply embarrassing. However, I am impressed that this company has managed to craft a product with such a rare ability. My wife and I owned 2 of these bottles from 2019 - 2021. They were amazing and some of the best bottles we ever used. I lost mine off the back of my motorcycle and hers was stolen at work. Well, figured I'd buy her another one for her birthday. This new design is way better! The locks are more sturdy and the drinking mechanic is superior. The last one had a little straw that popped out and it was awful to use and clean. These bottles will be the last brand we buy for a while, because they're the best! ... show more
