First I’ve been looking at these mugs for awhile and was always hesitant because of the price tag but after a couple years I decided to pull the trigger. When I first got it I was disappointed because when tilted or tipped the top would leak significantly. I ended up contacting Yeti directly and they sent me a new lid promptly and free of charge. Since I received the new lid it has been amazing. I drink coffee almost all day/night long and it keeps my coffee hot for about 5 hours or so. When I say it keeps my coffee hot I mean pipping hot too. It’s easy to clean because of the mag slide lid and for me holds the perfect amount of coffee. I’ve had it for a couple of months now and haven’t had any issues with the color chipping. I’ve dropped it a couple times by mistake and I thought for sure the lid would pop off and surprisingly the lid stayed on AND no leaks. Price tag still has me hesitant to give 5/5 stars but as far as the mug and customer service there’s no dispute it’s a 5/5. ... show more

I was initially a bit hesitant on buying a coffee mug for ~$40. Seemed a bit overpriced IMO. I just wanted a thermal mug to keep my coffee hot while working from home. There's oodles of other brands/mugs out there that would do the trick however, they either weren't really leak proof or didn't keep the beverage hot for awhile. Just lots of small things that wasn't what I was looking for. Plus the reviews on them were hit or miss. So, I bit the bullet and figured I'd give this mug a shot and see if it was worth the $40. So far, it's been holding up quite well. It's leakproof which was a big point for me. When the lid is closed (and the cap is put on properly), the mug doesn't leak. I held it upside down and not a drop came out so yay for this. So far, I've had my morning cup of coffee in this mug for about 4 hours and it's still nice and toasty hot. Cleaning it easy so no concerns there. The mug just feels well built, especially the handle. It is a bit on the heavy side for a mug but not really a concern for me since I won't be toting it around. Only real concern I have is with the mug itself in that it's all metal and should you drop this thing, seems like it would be pretty easy to dent/ding. The bottom of the mug should have a rubber pad or something to minimize this but oh well. Overall, for a mug, I think it's pretty great. Hopefully this will last a long time and, based on some of the reviews, looks like it's possible. Hoping this is the only thermal mug I'll need for quite some time. ... show more

I take this to work and use it all day. I bring it home and use it all evening. It really does keep things hot and cold and I love that it has a top as well as a handle. I feel like I can grip it better with a handle as opposed to just Holding it by the smooth side. I also chose this style because it fits in the cupholders in my car. I would definitely buy again. Con… I use my aluminum straws with this and they just barely fit in the opening on top. I would like to open it just a tad more. I have the old version of this and it works pretty good so I thought I would try the new version. The new version is extremely heavy and has a very small handle even for my hands. I’m 5 foot tall, small bond with small hands and I still have to cram my four fingers into that handle. Plus the new one is extremely heavy! There is a gigantic difference between the two. Because of this issue I have dropped this cup many times when I never dropped the other one. The new cup is a screw on cap. It’s a little difficult to take on and off just because there is not much group area. When I have tipped over this cup or dropped it sometimes the magnetic closure pops off and all the liquid spills out. The old model was attached and slid back-and-forth which I would prefer. As far as cleaning goes I use a stiff bristle brush to get into the crevices. I also have to take off the gasket because it collects a lot of God knows what. If I could I would return it but it’s far too late to do that. ... show more

Bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. He accidentally left it on top of his truck when he was leaving for work. when he backed out of the garage it obviously fell. Not a crack or dent in it. No leaks or anything. We were shocked! I highly recommend
