  • vibrant and eye-catching
Color: Tri-color Black Red Gold
Absolutely love the OVV3D Tri-Color PLA filament! The color shift is vibrant and eye-catching, and it really makes prints stand out without any post-processing. OVV3D Tri-Color PLA filament has a smooth, consistent extrusion with no clogging or tangling. Layer adhesion was solid, and the surface finish came out clean and glossy — perfect for display pieces and articulated prints. The filament was well-wound and printed reliably right out of the box. If you’re looking to add some serious wow factor to your 3D prints, this tri-color PLA is definitely worth picking up. I’ll be ordering more for future projects ... show more

  • Very cool filament
Color: Tri-color Red Blue Yellow
This filament could make a very cool Nintendo 64 logo. It's a silk PLA, so everything about silk PLAs will apply regarding your prints. That said, it's very cool to see the colors slightly shift. I was hoping for a stronger chameleon effect, but that's on my expectations not being realistic. It still made awesome-looking prints. The layer lines were a bit more pronounced than I would've wanted, but that's also nothing a bit of smoothing can't fix. Definitely will get again. ... show more

  • Beautiful colors!! High Quality
Color: Dual-color Matte Black Red
This filament is amazing. It’s absolutely beautiful. It has a matte finish but the color change is absolutely gorgeous. I will def be buying more and testing out their other colors.

  • So beautiful!!
Color: Tri-color Macaron
This is the coolest color of filament I have ever seen!!! I thought it would be impossible to create that effect in the photos but it looks even better! It’s a smooth gradient of the colors and the filament quality is excellent. No issues printing at all!

  • Pretty colors, numerous qc problems though.
Color: 4 Pack Tri-color & Dual-color
I bought this 4 pack to give dual color and tricolor silks a whirl, to print some cheistmas gifts. I have now been futtzing with this for 2 days and havent managed to get a single print off. Moreover, I have tried different first layer/project temps, bed temps, and reslicing different projects using different infill patterns, shell thicknesses, brims and the like and have yet to get a single print past the first layer. The cardboard spools on my rolls are offcenter and wobble when they roll on the spool (probably has zero affect on print quality). When I run a first layer calibration, the filament lays down fone and looks like it should produce a good print. But no matter what object I slice and print even with those same settings, this filament globs up all over my hot end and creates a nightmare of a mess. I made a mistake in setting a print up and walking away for 30 minutes after it started, with the first print, and had this pla smashed all over and melted around my nozel and hot end. (Probably going to have to replace the hot end at this point, though it still seems to function, but is covered in this melted PLA film). I have never had this kind of issue with any other filaments I have ordered, and wouldnt be able to recommend this. Furthermore, its pretty expensive for 4 200g rolls of questionable quality. Your mileage may vary, as I see plenty of good reviews here which is why I purchased. But I suspect some bad QC is to blame. Printing on a prusa MK3 ... show more

  • super stiff and prints clean
Color: Tri-color Sky Blue & Pink & Yellow
used this for some functional brackets I needed to be rigid and it came out great. printed at 220 degrees and got really clean results with minimal stringing. parts feel noticeably stiffer than regular PLA, would use again for structural prints.

  • Prints great, but colors are much darker than advertised in normal light
Color: 4 Pack Tri-color & Dual-color
Tip: Always dry your filament before using! My full review is listed under the pros and cons. Pros: - Great adhesion - Interesting color effects - Very shiny - Easy to print - Spools nicely wound Cons: - Colors not as advertised - Occasional gaps in prints - Occasional color shifts - Pricey compared to other filaments --Print quality-- I printed these sample spools on my Prusa Mini+ with a PEI bed and the adhesion was great. I printed at 220C with the default settings in PrusaSlicer and the prints came out very shiny with little to no stringing (after drying). The spools are wound very nicely (better than Atomic Filaments, but not quite as perfectly as Prusament), but they don't fit on the spool holder that came with my printer. I ended up laying the spool flat and the printer had no problem pulling filament without tangling. I did hear quite a few popping noises while printing, and upon inspection I found some gaps in my prints. I do expect pops with wet filament, but I dried it down to 14% humidity so I don't see why it would still be wet. The gaps weren't very noticeable in my prints, but this could be a concern for you if you're looking for perfection. One of my prints had a few layers where the colors moved--ie, if red was on top, it switched to yellow for a few layers, then went back to red. This disrupted the rainbow effect on the print, but thankfully it only lasted for a few layers. I didn't expect this due to how nicely the spool was wound, so I'm not sure what happened there. Again, this might be an issue for you if you're looking for perfection, but it didn't bother me too much. --Colors-- My biggest gripe is with the colors. They're darker than what's advertised. I have no doubt that the colors are stunning in bright, natural light, but they simply aren't the same as what you see in the pictures, regardless of how your monitor is calibrated. The colors look much darker when viewed in indoor light (even when it's bright/by a window), and some of the colors look muddy, especially the tricolors. The dual colors look pretty good, but they're still dark. If you're expecting to receive the exact colors listed in the photo, look elsewhere. But if you don't mind darker shades, this might be perfect for you. --Value-- I bought this at $35 for 4x200g of filament. That's $0.044 per gram. Prusament is $30 for 1kg, or $0.03 per gram. Atomic Filament is $30-$35 for 1kg, or $0.03-0.035 per gram. As you can see, this filament is more expensive than both of those high-quality filaments. I'd say that the OVV3D filament is good, but Atomic and Prusament are great, so in the future I'd rather buy from them than get another sample pack from this brand. The benefit of buying this particular pack is that you get four colors instead of one, which is why I bought it in the first place. I wanted to try a few different colors before committing to a full spool. I'm glad I did so, because the colors aren't what I need for bigger projects, and I don't plan on buying them again. All in all, a good printing experience, but not my favorite final result. ... show more
