I bought this for my friend for Xmas after his old chair gave out. He's a big guy and needs a big chair. He also has a bad knee, so I wanted a chair easy to open/close. It arrived in 2 boxes within a few days of ordering. It was assembled in about 30 minutes. At first, he loved it, then he complained about it, and now he loves it again. He complained because he misunderstood the process of closing it. The lever opens the chair, but it only assists in closing it. You must use your legs. You can use the handle to assist, but you can't close it with only the handle. He'd been trying to close it with just the handle and got frustrated. Once I showed him how to close it, he was happy again. It really does not require much leg force to close it. Some have said the chair is unstable. I believe it stems from the fact that this is a very wide chair, and the base is big, but it doesn't cover the entire width of the chair. If you lean too far to one side or the other, it will lean a bit, but I would not say it's inherently unstable. My friend frequently flops into it when sitting, due to his bad knee, and the chair has held up well to this so far. It's very comfy and he frequently naps in it. I give it 4 stars bc of a poor design choice in the way the handle is attached. It has a metal rod that slips over a rod on the base. The rod on the handle is too big to fit snuggly on the rod on the chair base. Hence, the handle wobbles. This has led to the screws attaching the two rods together to loosen, and it will need occasional tightening to prevent the screws from falling out completely. All in, it's a great chair for someone who needs a big, comfy chair. He especially likes the swivel base as it helps him watch TV. For the price, it's a great chair and I'd recommend it.

Easy to put together and comfortable. Having four dogs, I didn't want to spend a lot on matching recliners. These fit the bill. They are comfortable and have held up well so far (6 months). I purchased separate covers to help protect the fabric. The chairs rock and swivel and I like that they have a pull arm and not a button. The leg part is one continuous piece and supports my legs well. Not the most comfortable recliner I have ever sat in, but comfortable enough to nap in. Overall, it's very comfortable to watch tv in or read a book. The dogs enjoy sitting in them as much as we do and small dogs can sit on the arms. I would purchase this chair again.

I would maybe not recommend for elderly or someone with limited leg strength because you mostly close the the footrest with your legs with handle assist. Disappointed, was easy to set up got to last thing arm cushions, they sent me 2 right arms and no left, so will not attach. I have searched all over to find a way to talk to someone either text email or in person, there is no where, so I guess I have to live with it, it’s too big to return.😞
