The media could not be loaded. *Review update after first use: The tent is amazing!!! I took my girlfriend (who had never been camping before) for a 5 day trip and we both loved the tent. The mattress is suprisingly comfortable. Leaving the windows open at night (80 degree weather) actually left us a bit chilly. Great airflow. Closing all windows but leaving skylight open helped cut down on the windchill. Moisture will add up on ceiling if all windows are closed overnight. Its very easily and quickly assembled. Im able to open or close in 5ish minutes. We were able to leave pillows and blankets inside when closed as long as they are neatly piled in the middle. Im glad I went with the nomadic 4. We are both slim but still liked having the extra room to move around inside the tent. Its very spacious with 2 people. I honestly dont have anything negative to say about the tent at all. Its great for the money. I thought setting up/taking down for day trips away from camp would be a pain but its actually no problem at all. Super easy set up. Great tent. * Looks to be a great tent for the money. This is my first roof top tent. No actual use yet to report but I set it up and inspected it. The tent material, aluminum base, and frame all seem to be high quality. The pillows, blanket, and accessory storage hangers supplied are all a big plus. The tent is bigger than i was expecting, which is great. Only sleeping two people but glad i went with the bigger size as its mounted on a full size truck and i have the room for it. Cons would be the hardware supplied and any steel that comes with the tent (ladder brackets). The hardware is low quality but it works fine as is. The steel is low quality as it is a little flimsy. I had to use vise grips to bend the steel ladder brackets to slide ladder mounting brackets in place. The bolts for mounting the base to a rack were slightly short. I was able to make do with everything as is and everything seems sturdy put together. The ladder rung locking system is a little janky but it works fine as is. I was able to assembly everything alone. Used a few youtube videos for reference which helped alot. You will need a hand lifting into place onto your roof. Overall i would buy again. Fast shipping (fast for freight shipping). Assembly and dissasembly is pretty smooth and doesnt take much time. Cant wait to put it to use. ... show more

I've had this on my truck in South Florida for over 3 years now and it has held up beautifully. Quick and easy to set up and pack away. The cover is robust and has protected it from the harsh sun down here. The tent can be breezy and cool when its hot, or zipping the windows closed has kept us nice and warm when cold. Have never had an issue with rain and have been caught in some big storms. I added the vestibule ("downstairs") and 270 awning with sidwalls, really makes for a nice setup when camping for a few days versus a quick trip with just the tent. The vestibule is a perfect gear/changing room or when we're camping with the dogs that's their area. Customer service has been excellent when needed. The mattress is comfortable enough and king size, it lives in there with a couple pillows and we just bring a fresh set of king size bedding along for the ride. The light strip inside is BRIGHT, we usually hang a dimmable solar lantern in the tent and another in the vestibule. ... show more

We wanted something mobile that wasn't very heavy. Fits 2 adults and 2 kids easy! Setup isn't bad once you do it a few times. We were a little disappointed with the directions for installation. Also one of our rails came without a hole drilled and two bolts stripped out when tightened. I would suggest going down to the hardware store and buying new bolts and nuts. ... show more

I’m so happy so far with this tent, the insulation is great and the the fabric is a great quality. The setup is a bit tricky at the beginning but once you do it several times, you are able to setup it in about 15mins. One of the reason I bought this one over smittybilt is the matress. The 3 inch matress is comfortable and you get a good rest. This came in a very well package, and all the parts are very durable and great quality. All in all this is a great buy! It’s priced better than any other tent and I think quality is top notch for something like this. We’ve enjoyed the heck out of it. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to setup and to put away. It’s HUGE so that probably why it takes a bit longer than the smaller roof top tents this style. At first I thought because it is so dang big that I would notice it up top while driving but I can’t say that I do too much and fuel mileage hasn’t really suffered from it. The only issue We’ve really had is when you open the tent the two pieces of diamond plate that make up the floor have a piece of extruded molding on both sides that key into each other to hold the whole platform as one piece. I’ve had to ratchet strap the two pieces together because the fold out part of the floor easily slips out of the other piece of extrusion and starts to bow...a strap fixes it but it is kind off annoying. ... show more

    • Instructions and assembly leave a lot to be desired
The instructions are missing a lot of key points about actual set up and put away. Regarding actual assembly, some of the holes were not drilled properly and the hardware would not fit so I had to go buy new hardware that would fit. When contacting the manufacturer about the issues, they were responsive, however if things would have been right on the front end, I would not have had to contact them. ... show more

We're very happy with our RTT, it's built well and has lots of extras that come with it. The sellers contacted me the next day to discuss delivery. Get a fan and leave the skylight open to help dissipate moisture. Very glad I went with this instead of 23zero.
