    • Works Great - but only one code
Bought a house with an Overhead Door brand garage door opener and needed a keypad remote. This is the OEM keypad for our opener. Programming was quick and easy, as was enabling it with the door opener (hit the learn button). The only thing keeping this from being perfect is that it only stores one PIN code. Other brands that I've used in the past allowed two or more, so you could always have your "emergency" code to open the garage door... and also program a different one for service people, dog watchers, etc that you could just wipe out and put a new one in if you wanted. Very simple to connect! I used the universal ones before and had so many problems that I eventually gave up. However, after checking the manufacturer’s website and seeing this, I figured I’d give it a shot. It connected immediately, and after a week, it’s still working flawlessly. I highly recommend this item instead of dealing with the universal ones—especially since it costs about the same. ... show more

    • Stopped working less than 2 years old.
I bought this January 2, 2024. For the third time, the keypad is not working. Problem I am told is the contacts for the batteries has one corroded area. We clean it and it works briefly then happens again. I had a garage door repairman come out today and he gave same diagnosis. It isn’t even 2 years old and I cannot use. This guysused something else to scrape the contact but he pointed out that even the color of that one contact is a different color. I live in FL. The guys said I should just buy a new garage keypad. Wondering if I should get another brand.. my garage door opener is Overhead brand that’s why I bought this one. Previously bought a universal one but couldn’t get it programmed. ... show more
