So far I've fried bacon, sausage, hamburgers, hash browns, and even thinly sliced potatoes with butter and they came out very good. It gets very hot and frys very fast so it would be easy to burn bread if not carefully watched. It's easy to clean with the use of a scrub brush and drying it off. This is the boom. I was skeptical at first as it seemed a little cheaply made. But turns out a good sandwich and heats up fast. By the time I have buttered my bread and added the cheese it is hot and ready to go. I ignore lights as they seem to be irrelevant and don’t really work.

Sweet dreams are made of cheese...grilled cheese, technically. This is my first sandwich maker of any sort and let me tell ya, this is life-changing. I just lightly butter some bread, put down some salami and pepperjack, and voila! The perfect toasty. Add a little pesto drizzle when its done and I'm just in heaven. This is so easy to clean as well. The excess cheese just slides off like never was stuck to the surface, and its small with not very complex hot plate textures, so you can't miss a spot. Cons- Takes an infinity to start up. I feel like I could use a skillet to grill up the bread faster than this thing starts! You plug it in and it just sits there for a few minutes. Then it finally begins to heat up, which takes another 5 or so minutes. I have no idea what it does for the first 3 minutes after you plug it in, and there's no way to just click a button and force it to start heating up. Thankfully, the perfect little cheese toastie only takes 3 minutes. This also produces a ton of smoke. Make sure you set this bad boy under the stove exhaust if you have one because once the ingredients are in, there's enough smoke to make Smokey the Bear concerned. It's not burning the food, though. It's just a LOT. A little small and doesn't fit the whole slice of bread. This one is just a nitpick. It takes no effort to pull off the extra centimeter of bread but I would overall prefer not to have to do that. Despite all these cons, I highly recommend this. This is the perfect panini grill. I use this for grilled, hot sandwiches and quesadillas with flour or corn tortillas. There is no temp option so it's either on or off. The grill heats up quickly and maintains the same temp until it's turned off. Non-stick grill so you can either spray it with a non-stick spray or butter the bread first. Dry grills as well without any issue. Food is cooked quickly, thoroughly heating meat, melting bread, and toasting the bread on both sides simultaneously. The small grease collector does not attach so you simply place it below the drip spout. I'd prefer it to attach in some fashion, but I've not had any grease drip onto the counter with just making sandwiches. I did try to grill a steak and it did technically cook the steak; however, the steak did not heat all the way through as it would on the stove top or in the oven and did not have a grill flavor so was bland.
