I was looking for a temporary inexpensive fire pit. This appeared to fit the bill. It does a fine job. Was easy to assemble. My comments are (1) the walls are very thin, (2) the way in which the walls connect is such that they can still slide a little, making the pit not overly sturdy, and (3) the pit doesn't fit into the carry bag. ... show more

Size: Great and perfect. Deep enough for large logs to build large fire. Design: great. I love the ash cover. Side mesh is great as we can feel the heat from the side. The mesh grille is great. I cooked the best stake on this. Material: very thin and concerned if it will withstand several large logs and big fire. But it held up just fine very surprisingly!! It was frustrating to assemble! I had to get someone to help hold the side panels in place while I pieced it together. The panels would fall over as I was trying to secure it into the "frame". Even with help, it took a while. Once it was put together, it was exactly what I wanted in a small, sturdy firepit. I really wanted it to work and thought about keeping it. However, I was expecting an easy set-up since it was portable. I wanted to use it as we moved from one camp spot to the next. I returned it becausee I knew I would dread the set up and sometimes just say forget it and skip the fire that night. It does pack up nicely making it great for transporting.
