My goal was to provide a convenient, safe, cooler spot to take my dog out when it was too hot to walk or for a quick late night trip outside. I ordered the sun shade to ensure the area was shaded during the summer season. We were able to set it up without a problem. It provides good protection from the sun and keeps the ground at a safe temperature for his paws. The FX Dog Playpen provided the barrier to allow him to use the area off leash. It’s been a great option during the warm summer months.

I rarely leave 5 star reviews but this canopy is amazing. It's extremely affordable very sturdy and it's reflective white color works perfectly in the desert heat. It's going to be 113 degrees tomorrow and under this canopy it will feel 20-30 degrees cooler than if it were dark blue or dark gray. It is so hard to find anything for desert living like white Canopie white tarps or white tents. I can never find white hiking hats either. Can you imagine hiking in 100 degrees with a dark gray or tan polyester hat? You are a sweaty mess. Well this Canopy checks all the boxes and I can't believe how nice it is! Color: WHITE is the only color for the desert or summertime Durability: This incredibly strong metal frame at this price? AMAZING

This isn’t even worth stars. I’ll get to that though: First things first, I work outdoors as a splicer for a telco company, and let me be very forward in saying this product isn’t worth its salt at all. It’s stable at least when the rain and wind isn’t coming, it has horrible side walls that don’t work and require way too much time to set up, which I can’t spend all day doing. The one thing it has going for it is how lightweight it is, but beyond that it’s unstable, has horrible retention and blows over easily. Wind knocked it over once and upon hitting the ground the liner tore with such ease I had to question why I even paid for this. As far as UV and heat retention / protection it would work fine during the summer, only issue is a cool breeze comes in and it’ll probably get destroyed easier than can be. Sun protection? Maybe. But let’s be honest, these are purchased for weather protection and the elements more often than not. Worthless product and honestly will never recommend. I would request a refund / to return it but considering a jointing snapped in half just opening it, I’m sure they’ll blame it on user error. Shame, was happy to get a perfect size canopy for splicing but know I’m more irritated I spent money on this garbage. Buyer beware: 0/10 if I could rate it properly.

Cheap material! The more you use this pop up canopy the more the stitching seperates so if it rains you will get wet. Not waterproof.

We have one of those Costco (or other places) inflatable hot tubs on our front deck, however there is no deck cover (a future project). The 8x8 size tent is too large as our deck is only 8 feet wide, as we need walk by space to access our wood for the wood stove. This tent is perfect for the hot tub. Cover it perfectly while leaving walk by space on the deck. With 4 walls, I notice it also helps retain so of the heat from the tub, minimal since the walls are thin. The biggest advantage is we no longer have water pooling on the hot tub cover and no needles from the fir trees as well. I pulled the tent towards the front of the tub giving us about 18 inches of space for a floor rub to step on when getting in or out which helps clean our feet before jumping in. The tent also gives us privacy from the neighbors for the chunk-a-dunk night (or skinny dipping for those slimmer folks) or when the mood hit (if the tents a rocking don't bother knocking!). This would be useful as a small cover while camping too, packs down small, very lightweight compared to the 8x8 tents. We hope to get a few years use out of the tent before the material starts to wear and we need to replace. I plan to get some small led lights to string around the inside to set the mood for those 'special soaking times'.
