It has been 30 years since I have ice fished, so I decided to look into purchasing a shanty to make it a more comfortable experience. I did not want to spend to much money for a starter shanty. I decided on this one for the price point and size. I received it earlier than expected(bonus!) I decided to put it up prior to going out on the ice just to see how easy(or not) it would be. To my surprise it went up quickly. Instructions were good. Came with the ice spikes and ropes to keep it in place(nice pouch included). My son and I took it out on the ice and overall it worked well. Material was thick but it did not appear to be insulated. The material did "sweat" inside but I Was running a buddy heater on high. It has a pouch sewn on the inside for equipment(wish there was two) and two vents on the ceiling for ventilation. opposing doors with nice zippers. 2 windows as well with roll up curtains that are held in place with a nylon loop(similar to a tent). My son and I both fit comfortably with our equipment. As far as putting 4 people in it, it would be tight!!(adults) I'm 5'9 and was able to stand and move around without hitting the ceiling. Putting it away was not bad. Push in the sides then the top. All corners fold up to the center and it easily fits in the included bag. Make sure to use the included spikes on the corners to keep the wind from blowing it away when you set it up! overall happy with our shanty! only reason for 4 stars is that it is not "insulated" as stated. other than that a great shanty to start with!! ... show more

Ice shanty is great very spacious for two could fit three comfortable fourth person would be a little tight very easy setup and quick to take down only issue is the carrying bag is as durable but I will say the company and customer service was excellent. Just set this up, I don't usually comment, this is my first out of the hundreds of product i have purchased. Its great, fair price and seems to be well made. I am not using to ice fish, using it as animal shelter, put a small heater in it, burning up inside. There must be a ton of uses for this thing. Marketing missing the boat at this price. I read a bad review, what do folks expect. Reviews some people leave are out of place. hard to navigate. My thoughts, if your looking for a shelter at a good price buy it. if your looking for something that will survive a tornado, Pay a hell of a lot more. Great price and fairly built. ... show more

This is used for ice fishing, while heater running it frosts and then melts causing it to drip water on you. But it's easy to set up and take down even in mild windy conditions . I put this over my inflatable Coleman hot tub. It used to take three days to heat up. With this its less than 24 hours. no more leaves. worms?, dirt or whatever. It also gives me privacy. the rain landing on it sounds amazing. I can close the windows and be completely in the dark or I can open it up and let the light in. I know its not what its supposed to be used for but frankly its perfect for a hot tub cover. Also as a Dr Who fan I really enjoy its looks in my backyard! ... show more

The old saying goes, you get what you pay for. And this is what it is. This is great for a starter icefishing shanty. I’ve taken it out all season this year. There are some issues with it. One being claims to be insulated and it is clearly not insulated! It is somewhat difficult to put up by yourself. Tons to one fold like a reverse umbrella and is somewhat tricky at first. This is what they call for man? Two grown man it’s comfortable. Me and my buddy are at 230 pounds and with all of our gear it’s about a two-man not a four. Four guys no gear sitting in a circle yeah LOL. This thing will get you any ice and goes work. There are no netting‘s for your gear any inside. The windows are pretty nice but the Velcro only works if you’re putting the window down. This is backwards! Needs Velcro to hold it open as well. Durability looks pretty good so far but like I said it probably is good for a couple of seasons of good use maybe 3 But overall this is pretty decent for what you’re paying.It does not have insulated material any inside and sweats quite a bit if any kind of heat . This thing did not last for the second season Absolute garbage so don’t waste your money on this one ... show more

The Good, This pop up tent is fairly priced. It is not insulated, but i am not sure why you would need it to be. It blocks winds very well, and is comfortable. Easy to carry, easy to set up, however, I would recommend you practice setting it up at home for the first time. and extremely easy to store. The Bad, If you have a heater, The exhaust windows on top are not big enough for the condensation to air out. i woke up to iced build up all around the tent. I guess i breath a lot. I had a sunflower heater and had to use it with both my doors open so that i could get enough fresh air and would dry out the condensation. It looked like it was raining inside my tent. If you operate any sort of heater that is not electric, please make sure you leave your doors open to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning. Also, one of the plastic soft windows ripped near the edge due to perhaps being stored in the cold. Im not sure why it did that. Overall, I would recommend this tent. for the price of under $120, I would buy it again. However, if you are looking to winter camp or sleep in it, make sure you leave a door open so fresh air can get in. ... show more
