Before buying this I read almost all of the reviews and I think the people that have negatively rated this gazebo have expectations set way too high. For less than $300 bucks delivered I am not sure how you can beat this. Because of the pandemic, my wife and I figured we will be spending more time in the backyard, and in the afternoon our patio takes a beating from the sun. We didn't want to spend thousands on a permanent structure so this fit the mark. The entire thing ways 70lbs, so right there you know this isn't something that will stay with you forever. Sure you can easily bend individual pieces and when putting it together you have to be careful, but once assembled it seems rather sturdy. Now, the caveat here is I live in SoCal and we have yet to have any Santa Ana wind events. I am concerned about it holding up, but feel pretty good. That being said I will update after my first experience with that. Assembly is easy. There are a couple of instances where the instructions aren't extremely clear, but logically you can figure it out, or they have a QR code on the first page and there is a YouTube video showing guys putting it together. It's very straight forward and I did almost all of it solo. I needed my wife and 7yo daughter when I attached the whole frame together and I needed my wife to help attach the top frame for the canopy. All in I probably spent 2-3 hours. I spent the most time putting up the sunshade that encloses the gazebo. That is not clear and the video makes it seem easy. It's a rectangle and not a square so you have to make sure you have it oriented correctly. I thought I did, and I didn't, so I had to basically do it twice. In conclusion, for the price this thing is perfect. If I get a couple of years out of this thing, that's a massive win. It has a great design, looks amazing, is cheap, and easy to assemble. If it can withstand 60-80 mph winds then I give this thing 10 stars.

I've been wanting to build a pergola on my back patio for years, but there never seems to be the time or money to get it done. With hot, desert winds ready to destroy everything in my yard, I was hesitant about using this, but we needed something without breaking the bank. With the vented canopy, I figured this might stand a chance of not blowing over completely, so I bought it along with the 4-year warranty so I wouldn't be out all of my money if it died before a year or two. We put it up a few weeks ago, & so far, I'm impressed! We got it up on a Sat, & the next day, a freak storm hit, including hail. No damage! It shakes & moves with the wind, but it didn't blow over, thanks to the vent & some paving bricks we strategically placed around the corner legs. We've since replaced the bricks with sand bags that wrap around the legs. Last night, strong winds were blowing in a big storm from the southwest (monsoon season's starting), & while the canopy groaned and shook, it's still standing today. Putting the awning together was a chore, because the nuts and bolts take some elbow grease. All the parts & tools were included, but it was a tight fit. Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase. The awning is roomy, it's standing up to windy days, & the canopy blocks sun & light rain well. Definitely worth the price plus warranty. I'm feeling more confident that we'll get at least a couple years out of it.

You know the old saying "you get what you pay for"... Well, in this case, I don't know if I got what I paid for or not. I think I may have got less. The instructions are very minimal, but the frame was not too difficult to assemble. It definitely takes three people. The quality of the frame is about the lowest I've encountered. The material is very very thin. Several of the poles were bent in shipping (which took much longer than it should have - Thanks FedEx). I'm using sand bag weights on each leg to keep it in place. These work very well, but the frame is so fragile that leaning on one side seems to bend the frame. The canvas top is no better. It has pockets on the corners that the top poles are inserted into to keep it in place. I have had this for just over a month, and I've already had one corner rip out and a few others start. Same issue with the small center top. Very cheaply made. There are push pins on the top poles that allow you to lower it to install the top. The material seems ok, I haven't had any rips, but the thread and stitching are very week. Much of it is already coming apart. Anyway, if you're looking for something cheap to use for a single event, this may be just be the ticket. Once assembled, it does look pretty nice. However, the quality is so cheap I can't see it lasting more than a few months, definitely not all summer. I've had mine for just over a month and I'm almost ready to put it in the trash.

Nice looking shade structure and (so far) a good value for the price. Assembly was not difficult, though it wasn't exactly simple. The end of one of the frame pieces was smashed (though the box was not), which meant a bit of chipped paint and a bit of bending with pliers required to get it to fit together. Several other pieces were a bit bent, though it didn't prevent them from being assembled. I wouldn't call the structure sturdy -- it feels like not much effort would be required to bend even the leg posts. The roof fabric is very tight, which makes it a little challenging to install but also helps to pull the structure together. It connects to the frame via stitched on pockets which I'm certain will fail after at most 2 seasons. All that said, it's cheap (as in inexpensive) and, for the money, makes a good temporary solution. If I get two summers out of it, it'll be almost worth the price. UPDATE: I got 2 summers out of it, though it had a few minor issues show up right away. The ties that secure the curtains to each post to keep them in place are very weakly attached to the curtains and started coming off pretty quickly. Also, several of the velcro loops used to hang the curtains came off. And finally, a bit of strong wind tore the top at one of the pockets I mentioned in my original review, and the whole roof eventually split. That same wind caused the structure to move and one of the welds snapped. Pretty much what I expected, so I can’t say I’m really disappointed, though I would not buy again. Really liked it when it was new, though.

This was exactly what I was expecting for the price and I would definitely buy it again. I bought this to put on my deck for a backyard wedding reception and didn't want to pay a fortune like some similar gazebos cost. It was a little challenging to put together but I am very happy with the end result. One of the corners did tear when putting it together, but it was an easy fix with the help of a zip tie. I screwed mine down into my deck since we get alot of high winds especially in the afternoon. I have had no issues with it at all since it's been up. I love the curtains since one side of my deck gets direct sun in the afternoon. I can close the one side to block the sun and still enjoy my backyard. This has turned my deck into a really nice, usable space. I've had it about a month now and would tell you this has already been worth the price.

Update: After having this gazebo for a few years, I would not recommend it. The top canopy is very cheap and tears easily. The first time I took it down for the winter one of the pockets where it attaches to the frame ripped and had to be resewn as did one of the corners of the inside cutout This year, the beginning of the third season with this gazebo, the canopy ripped horizontally as I was trying to stretch it enough to go over the frame. The company does not sell replacements so I would need to buy an entire new gazebo to get a new top and that is alot of waste. Also, one of the curtain rods snapped off on one side due to a bad weld. . This is a really nice gazebo. It is large and looks nice on our deck. The cloth walls are easy to open and close and the ability to zipper them all shut is nice if you want privacy. Assembly instructions were straightforward. The included allen key and wrench made it possible to put together, but it would have taken twice as long with these tools vs the socket wrench I used. You should definitely have two people to set this up. One complaint I have is that some of the metal is a little thin. The legs and support frame are good, but the curtain rods and some fo the other parts are thin. I'm tall and sure I will eventually dent the curtain rods by banging my head on them.

purchased may 0f 2020, had small issues, company offered adjustment on price. after 1 summer of use and stored over winter (michigan), multiple seams and hems coming apart. Had friend reinforce multiple spots so we could us again for 2021. company sent out a full frame and canopy. GREAT. canopy material is not very sturdy. by end of 2021 1 big rip. beyond repair. so we opened the new box and decided to use the canopy out of the new box on the old frame. Nope, frame had multiple cracks the tubes we're full of rusty water. So down came the old frame (2 yrs of use) and up went the new frame. I haven't asked the company again, but they do not offer replacement canopies for this frame. I'm grateful that the company offered me a new one, but i have to say this product is not a long lasting one. 2 yrs and in the trash. so we did reinforce the corners many other spots before putting number 2 up. also painted the entire frame with rustoleum hoping for longer use. it's a real nice looking canopy when up, just not a very well build product. company service is good, quick response on first set of issues. If they read this, it will be their first notice of 2nd set of issues. (2021-22)
