My husband and I did a LOT of research before deciding on this canopy/gazebo. It arrived quickly and took about 2 hours to assemble. ( 2 people) The small holes in the roof keep water from pooling in the canopy. It gets a bit stuffy inside with the curtains/netting closed but the addition of a ceiling fan made that all better. (Bought here on Amazon) I highly recommend bolting it down or getting weights for the legs. (It became much sturdier after bolting it down) ... show more

Had this for a few months now and love it. It says it requires a 2 to 3 people to put it together but I did it by myself with the help of a 2 ladders, one for support on the other end in about 3 hours. The stakes that come with it are a joke. Do what I did and buy the (Folding Ring Spiral Ground Anchor, Orange, 10-Inch) or whatever size fits your needs. Anchored it with four of them and had some pretty strong storms come thru with heavy wind and it didn't move. If I had one small complaint is that the top part doesn't have mosquito netting. Now this hasn't been a problem with them coming in but just a minor issue that can be fixed. $300 for a gazebo with mosquito netting and privacy curtains is a steal. When it comes available jump on it and buy it. You won't regret it. ... show more

I shopped around for weeks before I settled on this gazebo and I absolutely love it. It took me, my husband, and my 5 year old approximately 2-3 hours to put together. It is not that difficult and everything is labeled. It has only rained a few times since we put it up, but it seems to repel it just fine. We are in Florida so it will be put to the test this summer and I have no doubts it will hold up good. The curtains seem to help keep it cool. I don't really understand the mosquito netting as there is a hole in the top for a vent and there are holes for the water to run off. So if mosquitoes wanted in, they could get in just fine net or not. The 4 main poles seem to be a bit thinner than I thought they would be but they are quite sturdy. Overall for the price, I am beyond happy with this purchase. I cannot wait to put it on concrete and add a new patio set under it. It definitely makes backyard movie night more enjoyable! ... show more

Update: bad wind storm ruined the top and sides, but manufacturer was very good about replacing them for free since it happened within the first year. I've had this up for about a month now. I'm giving it 5 stars because I like it a lot, but there are some issues people should be aware of. First, the negatives: -It's actually only 9.5' x 12.75'. -The fabric material feels thin and fragile. The 4 corner posts feel light, hollow, and fragile. I worry they will bend or break in a bad wind storm. So far, it has handled a few 20 mph wind storms like a champ. -The velcro doesn't stick well The positives: -It was very easy to put together. Took about 90 minutes and I was taking my time. I only needed a second person to hold the roof section up while I snapped in the corners. -It looks great and provides a lot of shade, the mosquito net works great as well. ... show more

I've never bothered to write a review, but this has been a great purchase. We're actually using our deck this year because we have shade. Assembly is pretty easy - 2 people and a small ladder. One very helpful trick when putting the roof supports together is to slide the inner support piece past where it would normally click so that the whole unit becomes shorter. This lets you easily get it in place and lined up. Then you just pull that inner support piece out so that the new connection is made and both ends will click into place. My husband used deck screws to secure the legs to our deck. Perhaps the best feature is how easy the canopy is to take on and off. It is attached with plastic 'hooks' that fit into a groove; the 'hooks' are attached to the canvas with an elastic tab - brilliant! No stretching or wrestling the canopy into place. We live on a windy ridge and the canopy has been fine in gusts of wind well into the 20mph range and steady winds in the teens. We took the canvas down (a 15 minute task) one day when there was a severe wind warning. We will take the canvas off for winter. So far we are extremely pleased with this purchase! ... show more

We ordered this second patio gazebo as an outdoor privacy gazebo for our hot tub and it is terrific. It's larger that our first gazebo and therefore a bit harder to set up but my husband and I were able to assemble it by ourselves in a few hours. It's the same kind of gazebo as our first one and that has lasted its first year in Florida in excellent condition so I expect this second to do the same. The first one did fade slightly over the summer but that's going to happen to anything that's completely exposed to the Florida sun every day. I absolutely love the heavy outer curtains and the separate inner mosquito netting, each can be opened or closed independently and zippered up the middle. They are both well made and each side has its own set of both. I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend this gazebo to anyone who needs a shaded and private area to upgrade their outdoor space. ... show more

It was easy to assemble. At the end we wish some assembly was in a different order. The 3 of us put it together in about 2 hours. We love all the Sun that it blocks. The summer scorchers is going to be much better. Our 3 little dogs and German Shepard already learned how to sneak under the netting. Which is good so we don’t have to unzip and let bugs in. THE only complaint I have is that it is not grey. I really wanted grey that’s why I ordered it. Instead we got beige. Blahhhh ... show more
