Positives: 1. Even though the instructions have no words at all, only letters pointing to the illustrations of parts, it still took me less than an hour to put this frame together myself. I will say I've put a LOT of kit items together over the years, so it seemed pretty straight forward to me. 2. Whether you're skilled with this type of thing or not, the main tip is to go over the instruction sheet at least twice, or however many times leafing through it you need until you're sure you understand where each part goes BEFORE you start assembling anything. Such as the four separate washers that come with it. Only one step shows you what they're for, and those aren't even labeled. 3. Sturdy as heck. I don't think they're kidding about being able to support 3000 pounds. 4. Lots of nice storage space underneath. Negatives: Really, only one notable issue. The horizontal support slats (the edge facing up) are only 3/4" wide, and they're spaced 5" apart (on the queen frame I ordered). Strength wise, this is not a problem *supporting* what you put on the frame. But, it's not enough to keep your mattress from sagging in between each pair of slats. If you value the lifespan of your expensive mattress, you'll also want to invest in a bunk (bunkie) board. ... show more

The description said it was an easy assembly but some of the holes did not line up and took some brute force to get them to match. This would be very difficult for one person to do alone. At one point we were almost ready to throw in the towel but got it to line up after repeated banging and a few cuts to the hand. Once assembled it is very sturdy so far. No heavy lifting or special tools. after getting the base together. everything just pops right on. watch out for middle foot bar. toes be warn. definitely recommend for getting mattress off floor. without breaking the bank. No need for box spring. comfortable and doesn't slide or move while on bed. holds weight. im about 160lbs and can walk on it no problem. doesn't seem to effect it. i wouldn't recommend jumping on it. but works for what it is intended for. ... show more

These frames will get a lot of use as they are in a shelter. Based on the reviews and the weight limit I went with these. I truly hope that they hold up. They took some time to assemble but it was because they were heavy duty and you didn't just unfold a bed frame you had to build it. So fingers crossed they last. They look good. One of the side rail pieces was bent, had to "adjust" it with a hammer to get them to go together. The rubber feet very thin, would probably cut into the hardwood floor. We purchased non slip rubber feet to put underneath and that worked fine. Went together rather well even with poor instructions. Sturdy enough and quiet. IMO slightly overpriced. ... show more
