I loved the look, it seemed to do its job. We used it for about 4 months and took the cover off for the winter. We just brought it back out for this summer and the Velcro straps that hold it on, some fell off completely and any type of strong wind and it’s flapping away. We tried to sew the straps back on only one held!! Wind is not its friend. For the cost and the short amount of time we had it out I’d have hoped it lasted longer.

Set up was very hard and I would not recommend this for an area that is prone to strong wind often. It looks great though and does a good job of providing a bit of shade.

The install was manageable but did require enough fussing with things to think that building it from scratch would be an equivalent task if you have the basic tools. The end result of the Outsunny kit is extremely fragile and flimsy, so you are much better off building your own if your construction skills are at a basic level. Multiple Velcro attachments ripped off in our first 15mph wind. 15!?!? Come on! The feet are bolted to cement anchors and the back is bolted to our outside wall, yet it still seems dangerously flimsy. Water collects in every gap of the ceiling ribs that support the canopy. The only positive thing to say is that the curved shape does look nice. Given our experience, we expect all parts of it to break within the year. We are planning on replacing each part with proper materials as they break. We appreciate the design but would be hesitant to get another Outsunny. Outsunny: Replace the worthless Velcro with eyelets or something else. Anything is better than the paper-thin Velcro! Updated July 14, 2023 - All parts did fail within a year as predicted.

It’s cheap enough but not very good for raining days past the windy days but not 0.3”rain I bowed it to the ground it stayed pass 30 miles wind only last me 4 months. The rain was not draining out from the holes but accumulated in the middle part of the awning bending the middle support and the front
