It has beefy legs, but the rest of the structure is connect with soft metal. Several joints have what could be called a pivot point, which will move and cannot be modified without welding, but because it is soft steel you would probably burn thru the metal. the Vertical rods that holds the fabric is also very soft 2 part steel less than 1/2 inch diameter, not enough to hold the fabric taunt. It is nice looking once assembled. I may only get one season out of it, did not see replacement parts available, so after that you are on your own Addendum: 07/31/2024 After having posted this review, I was contacted by the Seller regarding my issues; we were able to come to an agreement to resolve those issues. Great product. Definitely needs at least 2 people to put together. Perfect size and height, the shades are great and exactly what I need to keep the sun off my hot tub. It's rained a few times with it, the water does sit on the top but I haven't noticed it making a difference.

Don't get this item. This item has a flat roof where rain can accumulate on the cover and the wind blows the cover almost off. Don't get it , get one that has a curve roof.
