I think this is the perfect junction for most outdoor electrical connections. I just it as a pass through for our cable internet from outside the home to inside. I am not one for a random hole in your wall with some caulking around the wiring coming out of it. This box cleaned up everything and made the installation look very professional. I am one for the details. I used cord grips for the cable to pass from the box to the outside and I do with that the cutouts can in different sizes so that they would fit multiple cord grip sizes. It was not a deal breaker as the cord grip I used was the right size but I can see how it could be bad for someone else. All in all it is the perfect box for the professional look someone may be going for.

I thought I'd read it came with a rubber/neoprene gasket to waterproof it, but it didn't. The 4 screws it came with looked heavily chrome plated, but rusted after a couple of rainy days. If I had to buy one again I'd look for a metal box with a gasket. Might be OK for an indoor installation.

The knockouts are not 1/2in., but was able to forcibly screw connectors in to the holes needed. Difficult but worked. The couplings fitted tight.. They should have been made with thicker plastic and threaded. Don't know if the 3/4 knock outs were any better. Good thing is they are water proof even though they do have a spot where you can open up a drain. I would purchase again as long as I was using the 1/2in. knock out. I use the word knock out but actual used a 1/2in. hole cutter not hole saw.

What a great box, lots of room for electrical connections. My mistake on the port size as i'm running 1/2 pvc conduit to it outdoors. Stepper bit took care of enlarging the hole as the large breakout is too large. Would buy this again, with the correct port size :)

No gasket as advertised. Knockouts are not 1/2”, so they had to be widened to fit my conduit connectors. All and all a disappointing purchase. Would not buy again for any outdoor projects.
