  • Engineered for Strenth and Long term Durablility
Color: Brown Size: 12'Γ—20' double roof
I am writing down my thoughts as I am assembling the 12X20 Domi Gazebo. First let me say that I am a retired auto worker who comes from the trades background. So perhaps I am a little more adept doing my own assembling. My first thought is to suggest anyone who tackles this project should consider having a power drill driver or the like. You will need a 4mm and 6mm hex apex for your drill. Using the tools that were included with the kit will add hours to the assembly process and I would not recommend using these tools for assembly. The prepping of the main beams in the initial steps can easily be done by one person but it is going to take some time to add all the brackets that they supply for the beams and posts. The instructions were not as clear cut as I would have liked and it took me some time to figure it all out. So far considering the country of origin, the quality control seems to be good. All holes have lined up for starting threaded screws (but if I were at the hardware store, I would think about buying a 6mm starter tap just to have on hand in case you encounter a bad thread. There are literally dozens and dozens of these 6mm screws to attach all the brackets and bars required for this assembly. Caution re #2 screws: Different size screws are designated with different numbers beginning with #1 and they are shipped mounted on a plastic blister pack. There are many #1 screws and only 28 #2 screws and they are included with on the pack with the #1 screws. Watch carefully for this as I didn't see the designated #2 and dumped them into the bin with all the #1 screws. So now for where I need the #2 screws, I will need to go out and purchase more screws which are 6mm x 20mm to replace the ones I have inadvertently already used. My one complaint that I have is regarding the supplied screws. I wish that they had been supplied with a little more lead (taper) at the starting end which would have made them much easier for starting in the threaded holes. There are many many screws to run in. So far I have completed everything up to the point where I'm ready to lift the posts and cross beams off the ground and get it all standing up on it's 6 legs. This is where I will need at least two or three other people to help me out here. With my wife & son we were able to lift the side beams to standing position. While my wife balanced each side assembly, my son held the end beam in place while I ran the #2 screws in to connect the assembly at the corners. Two 45Degree supports were added at each corner. At this point I would suggest that the assembler square up the structure by measuring between the posts diagonally (corner to corner). The two measurements should read within a half inch of each other. This will help when you go to install all the roof support brackets and roof panels. My wife and I were able to get the main roof supports up without the help of my son here. Attach the four N1 supports to the K header before lifting. With the help of a 7 foot step ladder, I was able to hold the assembly up in the air while my wife connected the lower ends to the side beams. Once the four N1 roof supports are secured in place, you can easily add the rest of the supports (N, N2 & M) one at a time. I would install the four M corner supports last as they are the longest and heaviest. This is where squaring your structure will pay off for making the anchor holes to line up more consistantly. I have completed the project now. The only major time consuming problem that we encountered was making the plastic tabs stay in place during installation. These were the Z series parts. After they fell off so many times I finally used silicone adhesive to glue them in place. (a very poor design) (An alternative might have been to use simple masking tape to hold the clips in place for installation. Once the roof panel was in, the tape would not be visible) After that the rest of the roof assembly went quickly. I spent about a week working on the assembly but I certainly did not spend 8 hour days at this. (Remember, I'm a retiree) I thought that the quality control on hole placements was excellent. Most all holes lined up or were close enough. Most other reviews mentioned not to tighten roof supports or frame until you have completed the entire roof assembly. I think that that is very good advice as sometimes a little extra movement was needed to line up the holes. The build quality of this gazebo impresses me as does the finish on all the parts. Well engineered for strength and long term durability. Great investment for the house. ... show more

  • Great Quality, Well Made & Designed Metal Gazebos Great Quality, Well Made & Designed Metal Gazebos
Color: Gray Size: 12'Γ—18' double roof
I have gotten 3 of these hardtop metal gazebos so far to use on my decks. I keep buying this brand because the quality is excellent and the customer service is worthy of a 6 star rating. One of my gazebos arrived with one of the roof panels missing. I contacted them and they responded within a few hours, they were very responsive and fast to address the missing part. Within a few days the missing roof panel arrived all wrapped up in a thick well protected box. And then they followed up with me after to make sure the part arrived. The instructions to assemble one of these gazebos is clear and the diagrams are easy to follow. Just take your time and study each step and you will not go wrong. One person can assemble most of it but you will need an extra one or 2 people when you are assembling the initial roof structure. You will also need a second pair of hands when you are tightening up the roof bolts on the upper sections. Each gazebo I assembled on my own, each one took me about 2 days. These gazebos are tough, I screw mine down to my decks and they have with stood 50 mph winds with zero issues. I live in an area that gets very windy and very cold in the winter time. I have had a couple of these gazebos for over a year now, they have gone through all the season and all the storms this area likes to throw at us. Each one has stood up completely unbothered by everything the weather has thrown at them. The quality is first class. None of my gazebos leak, they keep the outdoor furniture dry and looking good. Each gazebo comes with a set of fly screens and full sun block out curtains that roll around the sides on built in rails. They are very well made, the zippers are heavy duty, all the curtains are beautiful quality. They work in the hot sun or when it is 20 below zero without issue. So far I have purchased a 14x22ft, a 10x14ft and a 12x18ft. I placed the 14x22 and the 10x14 right next to each other, which you can see in the attached photos. Sitting right next to each other they look like they are all part of the same structure. These are the nicest quality hardtop metal gazebos I have ever had, the fact I have bought 3 so far and plan to buy a few more of them says volumes about the quality. I would give these metal hardtop gazebos a 6 star rating, they are that good. ... show more

  • Great product, tough to build solo Great product, tough to build solo
Color: wood-looking Size: 12'Γ—16' double roof
I'm generally not one to leave product reviews but I felt like I should share my experience with others since this was a very large investment. The product itself: This gazebo looks great! The beams look very much like wood and it is beautiful. It is surprisingly good quality. Very sturdy and heavy. I figured buying something like this on Amazon it'd be decent but not this good. After getting everything all put together, I can barely shift the structure while using significant force. The only questionable piece of this gazebo are the screen holders. They're made of plastic, and they may or may not last several seasons. We'll see, but they should be easily replaceable. The instructions: I saw some reviews complaining about the instructions, but honestly they were fine. There are many pictures that you'll just need to reference over and over again as you construct piece by piece. There were several times I made an assumption about the instructions, was wrong, and had to remove some pieces. Just pay attention to what you're doing. The packaging/delivery: Aluminum isn't the hardest, stiffest material so it's understandable that somethings will be bent or dented. With that said, the majority of the pieces were in pristine condition. There were a few dents in the roof frame, but nothing that is really noticeable or unfixable. There was one issue with the rails for the curtains as one of the edges was bent and prevented the holders from entering the track. Easy fix of bending it into position. One negative, the packaging for the screws/bolts is EXTREMELY flimsy. It came apart in the box and as a result some of the screws are missing. I will need to reach out to customer support to get replacements. Installation: Let me start off with a description of myself. I'm a fairly average sized man, with I'd say average strength, and has had a decent amount of experience building prefabbed things like furniture. I am by no means very strong, or in construction. With that said, I was able to build this gazebo mostly by myself, but it took a long time, roughly 20 hrs over 2 days for the structure itself. It was next to impossible to get the roof frame on as one person so you will need some help. If you're attempting to take this on by yourself you will need: 2 ladders 1 at least 10 feet, a power drill with hex bits, and the ability to hold ~30+ lbs in the air with one hand. You'll need to use both the ladders for balancing the beams, as well as going up and down constantly at different heights for assembling the roof. Mounting: Regardless of where you live you need to anchor this gazebo to something. We opted for the planter route instead of anchoring directly into our patio. The gazebo itself is anchored into 4 patio pavers, then planters are on top of the pavers, and in each planter there's at least 100lbs of gravel, sand and dirt. If you don't anchor this thing a storm will come and take it away even though it weighs over 400lbs. Other caveats: 1 downside i noticed while assembling everything, there are no caps to the tops of the posts so things will get in there. There are also several other crevasses that will lend themselves well to pests. My worry is that for the posts water will well up in there and be a breeding ground to mosquitoes. I will need to put deterrents and mosquito pesticides directly in the posts regularly. ... show more

  • Building it yourself? Building it yourself?
Color: wood-looking Size: 12'Γ—12' double roof
I wish I could give this five stars, but building it ourselves, took 3 people and 10ish hours to do. The more hands the better. There is a lot of parts that feel overwhelimg, but it comes together well. The framing was easy, the roof was awful. The clips are the worst and fall off constantly. Get some painters tape to hold the tricky ones on, peel off after. The bigger panels are hard to fit in channel. A good tip is to not tighten anything on the roof down until done, makes it easier to assemble. Once done, it looks beautiful and the curtains and netting are made of good quality, ours were grey. ... show more

  • Perfect For Our Patio Perfect For Our Patio
Color: wood-looking Size: 12'Γ—16' double roof
Version purchased: 12’x16’ Update #2: I have now built the second one (first one was destroyed by a falling tree). I’m as happy with this gazebo as I was the first time. There were a few scratches and dings this time from shipping, but nothing that is noticeable. Update: I forgot to mention one of the reasons I purchased this brand was because of the positive reviews that mentioned their customer service. I have to say, I agree with the other positive reviews. I had an issue (100% my issue and not theirs), they replied very quickly, and helped me out with my issue. I would DEFINITELY purchase from the company again. This was perfect for our patio. Was? A eucalyptus tree pruned a large branch during a horrific storm here in CA and crushed the gazebo. How perfect was it? I’m purchasing the same gazebo to replace the recently crushed one. I definitely want the same one. The reason I purchased this brand over the other ones is because of the positive reviews regarding customer support. And I agree with the other reviews, this company provides solid customer support! I purchased some LED lighting and installed the string of lights and it made this amazing during warm evenings. One tip I would share (and will follow myself for the second purchase): don’t tighten all the bolts right away. I had to loosen nuts / bolts many times to get things installed properly the first time. Pros: β€’ Very quick and helpful customer support β€’ Very sturdy β€’ Curtains are extremely effective to block breezes β€’ Vented roof to make is safer for propane fires in the gazebo β€’ Looks great β€’ Was able to assemble without professional help Cons: β€’ It is not immune to large heavy branches (yes, this is a joke … the branch would have gone right through the roof of our house β€’ Installation took a while … but that was expected ... show more

  • 5 Stars for this gazebo!
Color: wood-looking Size: 10'Γ—12' double roof
After extensive research, we decided to purchase this gazebo to replace our existing soft top. We read all the reviews about the company, their customer service and product quality and felt it would be a good fit for us. We could not be happier. This gazebo far exceeded our expectations. The product quality and elegant design is amazing. We were surprised at how well made it was and how reinforced all the sections were. The company was wonderful to purchase from and all the parts were in the packaging. It arrived quickly and well packaged. The company even reached out after our purchase to make sure we were happy with everything. It is labor intensive to install and you will need at least 2 people, but the directions are easy to follow and the end result is worth it. We receive so many compliments on how beautiful it is. Very happy we purchased this gazebo and would recommend it to anyone looking for one. ... show more

  • Extremely Difficult & Dangerous to Assemble Extremely Difficult & Dangerous to Assemble
Color: wood-looking Size: 10'Γ—12' double roof
Not recommended at all. The instructions are terrible. Just pictures and no textual description of any steps beyond a couple of notes here and there. The pages of the instruction guide are VERY busy making them difficult to follow. But, I was ok with the main frame and roof frame, but then came the roof panels. You are instructed to attach these plastic "brackets" to the edges of the roof frame and then supposedly fit the frame with the attached plastic brackets into a slot - this is impossible to do without the plastic pieces popping off. Where I was able to get a couple of roof panels slid into the slot with the plastic pieces attached, they interfered with the fitment of the panel (holes for the screws didn't line up, which is a problem even without the plastic brackets). I ended up giving up on the plastic brackets after working for hours to get a few panels installed. I have no idea what the purpose of the plastic pieces is, maybe noise dampening, but guess I'm gonna find out. The roof panels are also an extreme danger - they are sharp, flimsy, and will cut like a knife. Several times while trying to fit roof panels, one or two others would slide off onto the ground. DO NOT have pets or small children around while assembling, and if you have a helper, advise them to stand clear. The instructions tell you to put all the roof panels on before securing them with the provided hardware but you MUST secure them as you go for safety reasons. I had several other issues but overall I am extremely dissatisfied and wish I had just purchased another unit I was looking at at Ocean State Job Lots. I feel like I'm now out a $1,000. ... show more

Color: Gray Size: 12'Γ—16' double roof
Absolutely thrilled with the build and quality of this gazebo. I was able to install solo however having another hand would have made it much easier. Directions were good and no missing parts. I did have scratches on several pieces because Fedex broke the box and some pieces had to be bent back to shape. Packaging for all of the boxes was good except the one. Feels sturdy and has already survived some heavy winds around 40 mph. I installed two hanging fans with lights and am so thankful for the loops that came on the gazebo. The screens and curtains are good quality and slide easily. It is very handy to have the zipper in the middle so you can walk in and out easily. I have been out during a rain storm and stayed perfectly dry under the gazebo. The drainage to the corners is very nice and definitely worth it for my setup. ... show more
