This is a really nice doghouse. I bought the 59 inch one and it is very spacious for my 117 lb Labrador. It does come in two shipments, which I did not know. It’s very sturdy, insulated well, I like how the roof raises up to clean the inside. The price for the house was reasonable but the shipping price was a bit high. Overall I’m very satisfied with my purchase so far.

This doghouse has its pros and cons, but so far the cons are outweighing the pros. The pros are: (1) It is VERY easy to assemble. You don't need any woodworking experience, you just have to follow the directions. (2) It is a very good looking doghouse once together. (3) The coating on the roof means I don't have to shingle it to protect it from the weather. The cons are: (1) The "little things" aren't as sturdy as the frame of the doghouse. (2) I've noticed that in just over a month, mold had started growing on the inside of the roof due to the seam on the roof. The small plastic strip provided to cover the seam has already warped, so I will have to replace it with something else. this doghouse may be better suited for under a car port than exposed to the elements. (3) The "insulated liner" is NOT chew-resistant. In just over a month, my dog managed to chew up and rip out about half of the insulating foam. If your dog is a chewer, you may want to think of something else. (edit) I increased the number of stars given due to Aivituvin reaching out and providing me a replacement insulated liner. Joy from customer service was a real gem.

If I’ve got to pay $120 for shipping, it shouldn’t need to be COMPLETELY assembled. I could’ve built it myself for 1/2 the price. 1/2 the holes weren’t pre drilled and the wood was super soft. The roof came in two pieces so I have no idea how it’s supposed to be weather proof. The legs cracked as soon as I tried to attach it to the bottom. I wouldn’t even give it one star but I can’t give it anything less than that. Absolute waste of money, I could’ve made it cheaper and better quality. The whole reason I bought it was because I didn’t want to go through all the trouble of building it.

Dog house material was better than expected. The wood is real and has that freshly cut wood smell. Giving three stars because the heating pad doesn't work. Also the assembly directions are flawed. If you build this yourself, you'll get to Step 12, attaching the roof. You absolutely must save this step for later! There are no markings at all on the roof for where to screw it in, so I tried to fit it as best I could. Then the inner hinge and lock didn't line up at all, and I had to remove the roof. Basically you should follow the directions until Step 11. Then do Step 14, then 13, then 12. You'll save yourself a lot of time and headache. My doggo loves her new dog house. I can leave her outside while I go to work, and she can sleep peacefully and be safe. She doesn't always come out right away when I get home, because she's so comfy. Before next winter, I'll have to find a functional alternative to the heating pad, but otherwise this was a great purchase!
