    • Engine failed in less than 100 hours.
The motor ran great at first, but then the carburetor started to flood and couldn't be fixed, so I had to replace it. Then it started to leak oil. Then the tiller handle started to come loose because of the leaking oil and fuel eating up the bushings. Then the engine lost compression suddenly at wide open throttle and started blowing white smoke leaving me paddling. It was overheating despite the water pump working fine, so I believe it's not oiling correctly. At best it needs a new head gasket. At worst the block is cracked or the cylinders scored out. Either way I won't know how screwed I am until I pull the head off the engine and look. I haven't been able to get a hold of the manufacturer yet, but I don't have a good feeling that they'll make it right. I'll add video once I get an opportunity to get it in a test barrel. ... show more

Extremely good on gas but very slow. On my boat on a 12 foot johnboat, I can only make 6 mile an hour and I do believe it overheated and the fuel lines leak.
