  • fits fred flintstone feet
Size: 8 Wide Color: W81 | Beige
i have been wearing these for a month now and im ready to review I purchased these as a keds type shoe to wear for the summer..keds don't fit me but i like the look with shorts and sometimes you just don't want to wear a running sneaker or sandal sizing - this review is for the widefit whiten which i am grateful for its availability. i wear on average a 7.5or 8 shoe with a 2E width...my foot is very wide with short stubby toes...at the base of the toes - 9.8 cm wide...that's 3.85"...so size wise i'm equivalent to 10 width size 7.5 length...very hard for me to find any kind of shoe. I found these and decided to give them a try and i have to say these are very doable. the size 8 fits my toes with room to spare and i can say that i never realized how nice it is for my toes to just stick out straight without being pinched together. even after a month i still am aware of the freedom my toes feel when i wear these. Fit- over all i would say these fit true to size...i ordered the size based on width, so i went with the 8...lengthwise, they're probably a bit long...not enough to trip over, and when i walk i don't notice it, but the weave is denser along the first inch closest to the seams and when i wiggle my toes the nails hit that boundary which feels weird to me. i just want to be clear that this doesn't impact walking, its only something i notice when i wiggle my toes. On the good side it points to a longer lasting shoe. Width wise the fabric has no stretch so if the shoes fit with a thin sock don't expect to them to stretch out and wear thicker socks...or suffer the consequences. I tried to wear a thick running sock and after 20 min started to get pins and needles and took the socks off. One down side...(minus one star) others have mentioned this and i wholeheartedly agree that the seam at the pinky toe is totally annoying. i notice it when i first put them on and notice it when i am sitting...not so much when i am walking. I think its two fold, one, the seam makes it much thinker and less flexible at that spot and two the edge of the fabric can rub if you have sensitive toes. Sometimes it bothers me and sometimes it doesn't. I'm thinking about figuring out if i can iron on a patch to smooth it out but probably wont...seems like a lot of work for the return of investment. Support - funny that even without any sort of built in support my foot feels well supported. the Sole is flat...i repeat FLAT... but the way the shoe is shaped when i tie the laces my arch feels cradled. Now if you have arch needs these shoes will not give you that kind of support...even so i do feel that my foot is strong and grounded when wearing these. side note and good to knows 1. these wash well...i washed them in cold water and left them to dry overnight...came out looking like new 2. yes the liner will come out with your foot when you take them off... 3. if you are used to a lot of cushioning or this is your first time wearing a "barefoot" shoe, your ankle and feet WILL FEEL SORE for a while. In most cases, and this is what i have realized after watching many videos about the whole concept is that your feet are adjusting to a different more natural way of walking. your toes will be used to propel you forward, your arch will actually hold your foot in place and your ankle will start accommodating for a more natural gate. Your forefoot will hit the ground before your heel as you wear them more...and all of those weakness that sneakers have been adjusting for you will be realized as soreness until you balance out. 4. you might not want to go back to regular shoes...yes, they look like duck feet in comparison, but its not really that bad in reality and the comfort outweighs the look ... show more

  • I love them!
Size: 9 Wide Color: W81 | All Black
I didn't rate them for working out because I workout barefoot. I also didn't rate them for support since they are by design without support features. I hate wearing shoes and call them "foot prisons" so I have been wanting to try out barefoot minimalist styles for awhile but didn't want to pay what the more expensive brands charge when I wasn't sure they would work for me. I came across this brand, explored a little and decided to give them a try since they're such much more reasonably priced. I love them! They have just enough padding/sole to keep me from hurting myself but they're nicely flexible and so roomy for my toes! I've been wearing toe spreaders for awhile and these shoes will allow me to wear them with the shoe. Between the toe spreaders, specific exercises and stretches and now these shoes, my feet are finally getting happy again. I have struggled with plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonopathy for a few years but I am finally seeing some progress and these shoes were the final key I needed. I would be doing better but then have to put shoes on and undo all my progress. Now I can wear shoes and still have happy feet! I will say I was worried about them being ugly because of the wide toes. I jokingly called them clown shoes but when I got them they are much cuter than expected so that made me very happy too! ... show more

  • Wish I would’ve tried them sooner!
Size: 10 Wide Color: W81 | Yellow
I am on my feet all day for work, and by the end of the day my feet, especially my toes, are in excruciating pain. I’ve tried light mesh shoes, running sneakers, high end, low end, wide sizes, and nothing has been comfortable for my feet for long hours. By the end of my work day, my pinky toes turn in toward the next toe, causing a horribly painful callous on the second toe on each foot. My toes feel so pinched by the end of the day and I can never get the callouses to go away, using toe spacers, bandaids, medicated patches, etc. I’ve looked into barefoot style shoes but was afraid of spending a lot of money on them, when I came across these. They arrived in the mail while I was at work, I went and got them on my lunch break, and immediately felt relief when I put them on. My toes actually have room!!! I’m so upset that I haven’t tried the barefoot style shoes sooner. They truly feel like you’re walking barefoot, and are so much healthier for your feet and the natural posture a person should have that other shoes effect. Good to know: These shoes are very flat and thin, which takes some getting used to. I walk mostly on concrete floors at work so I’m still experiencing some overall pain, but all the pain from my toes is gone and as my feet adjust I’m sure some of the general pain will subside as well (I’ve only had these for less than a week so far). Don’t be afraid of flat shoes though! It’s actually healthier for your feet (unless you need certain support for medical reasons). Typical shoes that have arch support actually weaken your feet’s arches over time. Flat shoes keep your arches strong! I’ll update after I have worn these longer if I remember, but I already want to buy a pair in every color!! ... show more

  • Feel nice but returned
Size: 8 Wide Color: W81 | Black Gum
So I put these on and they were immediately completely comfortable, I didn't want to take them off! Unfortunately, what I was looking for were shoes with just a thin rubber sole and these missed the mark. While they are minimalist, there is still enough padding in the bottom you can sink your thumb in, even without the insole. While I love the fit, I don't need another general pair of shoes, so I'm unfortunately going to return these and probably go for a pair of water socks; I am looking for something that I can literally roll up but will be non-slip. If you're looking for an intro to barefoot shoes though these are probably great, the sizing is good and they feel amazing; I don't have a wide foot but the wide fit was delightful. ... show more

  • Best shoes ever!
Size: 9 Wide Color: W81 | All Black
Oh my goodness! I've had these shoes on for over 6 hours now, and my feet don't hurt! I can not remember ever having shoes that don't make me want to immediately take them off. These don't squeeze my toes, don't have so much cushion that it throws off my gait, and don't rub in any weird spots. And, to top it all off, the non-slip sole is actually, truly, non-slip! I've already ordered 2 more pair, and hope these are around for a good long time so I can keep on buying new ones. ... show more

  • Amazing. Immediately bought a second pair.
Size: 9 Wide Color: W81 | Grey Brown
I stand all day at work and my feet would swell and hurt regardless of which shoes I wore or what type of insoles I used. I was reading online about how to relieve bunion pain and came across barefoot shoes. I was skeptical, so I didn't want to spend a ton on shoes that may or may not help my aching feet. I'm so glad I decided to try these. Not only are they affordable, but they're super comfortable and the pain in the soles of my feet and my bunions has greatly reduced. I wore a pair of my other, "regular," shoes for one day and it was such a revelation- I noticed how squished my toes were in comparison and my feet began to hurt after just a couple of hours. Afterwards, I ordered a second pair of these barefoot shoes in a different color so I never have to wear regular shoes again. ... show more

  • Great on tennis courts
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: W81 | All White
I really needed a sports shoe that would have a great grip on courts. THESE ARE PERFECT!!! I prefer “barefoot” style shoes & sandals, and I mostly wear sandals (Lunas or Xero). I enjoy playing tennis & pickleball, and hated having to wear bulky heel court shoes that caused me a few injuries. I sourced a few brands that had large toe box; zero drop. These were by far the best price. I figured that if they didn’t have enough grip, they would still be good everyday shoes. They have amazing grip. An added bonus is that they are wide enough to wear with my correct toes toe spacers. I want to make sure that I have healthy strong feet and balance throughout my life. Wash: Machine wash cold- works great. I bought the white color-they look like new after washing them. Dry: line dry. They do take a bit of time to dry, so I am buying a second pair. ... show more

  • Savior for wide forefoot + short toes
Size: 7 Wide Color: W81 | All Black
These are THE best shoes I’ve found (aside from Altras for running/hiking). These are affordable, truly zero drop, minimal cushioning, and a really wide forefoot. Heel doesn’t slip (I have a narrow heel AND a wide foot, which makes it hard to find women’s shoes that fit). I bought these to replace Vans and am super happy. Will be amazing for weightlifting and calisthenics at the gym due to the wide forefoot (balance) and zero drop/minimal cushion. Highly recommend, and will probably only buy these in the future. I’m not sure how they’ll hold up over time, but they cost half as much as Vans. I’ll assume they’ll last half as long. I measured using the cm sizing chart at first. That sized me at a 6.5. When I used the inch sizing chart, it sized me at a 7. I got the 7 and it fits PERFECTLY. 6.5 would’ve been too small. If needed, half-sizing up would work okay, I think. If your foot is shaped like a triangle with stubby toes, just get some. Worth it. ... show more
