The company claims they want you to “experience premium fragrance oils”. Upon receiving my 2 oz lemongrass fragrance oil, I learned that they meant it would be a premium disappointment. The oil smells NOTHING close to lemongrass or even remotely like citrus. I cannot waste wax by pairing it with this product that smells like cheap bar soap. This is a poor fragrance oil. Unless I was sent a faulty product, this was a severe disappointment.

This fragrance smells like soap nothing like lemongrass. Bought it for candle making and smells nothing like Lemongrass essential oil. It smells like soap. If you're making soap, it may work, but definitely not candles.

This review is for Our Own Candle Company's lemongrass fragrance oil. I cook with lemongrass. I have used lemongrass essential oil. I know what lemongrass smells like. I bought this because I wanted a longer-lasting scent than essential oils offer. This does not smell at all like lemongrass. It's vaguely citrusy, but has strong overtones of chemicals and kind of a musty smell. It's not pleasant. It certainly is long-lasting, though.
