I use this in correlation with the Quidad Curl Cream and absolutely love it for my day 1 post shower. It leaves a light cast easily broken with an oil. I also mix in one little squeeze with the curl cream for day 2. It’s not heavy and helps with frizz and retaining moisture. I’m obsessed with these Quidad products. Definitely picking up more! Just be sure you don’t use to much or yair curls will be sticky. I recommend using it with the praying hands method and a light scrunch. I blow dry down to to lengthen my curls but it does a great job with a diffuser as well. I also recommend after they dry to break them up with some oil or serum. This is the best hair gel for my curly hair. I’m so happy with it. I’ve tried tons of different CG-approved products and this one is worth the splurge. A little goes a long way, it defines my curls and locks in moisture. And the scent is very subtle and pleasant!! I love this stuff.

    • I threw out all my Deva Curl products!!

This stuff is amazing. I will never use anything else ever again. I have been using deva curl for nearly 15 years and I thought it was the best there was. But then my hair stylist used ouidad on my hair and I couldn’t believe how soft and hydrated it made my hair. I immediately bought this gel, the ouidad oil shampoo, and a leave in conditioner too. All are great! Though I find I don’t even need conditioner because this gel, even a tiny bit, immediately softens and smooths my hair without it. Now. I have used conditioner every. Single. Time. I showered. Without fail, no exceptions. I have super dry hair and don’t even shampoo during every shower, but I ALWAYS used conditioner. I never thought this would be possible. But it’s that good. I don’t love the price. It’s expensive. But I also don’t use as much as I have of other products. So that’s good. But it’s not cheap or even reasonable really. That’s the only bummer.     • Unbearable Scent

This gel moisturized pretty well, but I could've used more hold. I would have kept it and mixed it with Ouidad's Advanced Climate Control Gel, but the fragrance is so unbearably artificial and overwhelming that I cannot stand to have it on my hair. I thought that the Advanced Climate Control Gel's scent was obnoxious enough, but it does fade off over time and that gel works pretty well for me, but this stuff is just out of the question. I do not understand why salon products all seem to be so heavily perfumed, but I will not be ordering this one again. ... show more
