This product is amazing! I have waist length thick hair combined with I'm not as young as I used to be, my curls aren't exactly curls anymore. Until I used this!! Everyone commented on how pretty my hair was. Not only were my curls back but my hair stayed super soft instead of that crunchiness you get with mousse or gels. I have 3b/c hair and I find this product woks very well in providing enough moisture. It doesn't sit on top of my hair, nor does it absorb it within minutes. I have fine but fairly dense hair so I can get carried away with applying product and I often apply too much. If you use this product alone and use too much then the worst case is your curls might be weighed down, which affects your look entirely. However, if you use it with another product, be mindful of your distribution because it will clump and cause flakes and it's not cute or fun. Believe me, I've done the research. I wish it were just a few more dollars cheaper but, it is very effective at keep my curls hydrated. I usually apply first day, reactivate and maybe touch up on the dry parts on the second day, and then maybe cowash on the third or fourth day because the buildup can get a little out of hand. I sometimes use it alone and sometimes use it with Miss Jessie's Pillow Soft Curls ... show more

I have fought my curls for years. Bought a bottle of this a couple of years ago and liked it, but there would still be a bit of a fizz halo once my hair was dry. Finally figured out to NOT put my hair in a towel after a shower, apply this product when hair is fairly wet, crunch hair and then do not touch until hair is dry (air dry or diffuser). Once hair is dry, I gently rub/squeeze my hair in sections to break the crunchy coating. Soft, frizz-free curls. I was running low in my original bottle, so purchased another on Amazon. Name was slightly different. I used the new stuff a couple of time and then used the old stuff. The new stuff seems to do a much better job of holding the curl and creating fewer loose/single hairs. Maybe it is my imagination, but it seems like they not only changed the name slightly, but the formula as well. ... show more
