Features

  • Ideal for Quick Stops - The lightweight, compact OTTOLOCK Cinch is an innovative theft deterrent designed for short stops on any bike or e-scooter ride. The cinch design is perfect for mid-ride stops and errands without weighing you down
  • Ultra Lightweight - The 18 Original Cinch Lock weighs only 145 grams (0.3 lbs); much lighter than a U-Lock. It coils down to just 3 in diameter when not in use and can easily be carried in a pocket, saddle bag, or backpack, or on your bikes frame
  • Patented Design / Made in USA - The Cinch Lock is hand-built in the USA with three layers of stainless steel wrapped in aramid fiber jacket that resists the cutting and sawing of many theft tools. The band is coated in anti-scratch Santoprene plastic to protect your bike frame and is designed with a resettable 3-dial combination
  • Versatile - The Cinch Lock design is perfect for electric scooters and e-bikes. Its also great for other outdoor uses such as watersports, moto, snowsports, and construction
  • Convenient Security - The Cinch Lock is not a replacement for a U-Lock. The Cinch Lock provides an easy-to-carry solution to prevent opportunity theft. All bike locks can be defeated with proper tools, technique, and time. OTTOLOCK recommends redundant locking with a quality U-Lock, for long duration lock-ups and in areas prone to theft

  • Secure, Strong and light. What else would you want?
Size: 30 Inch Style: Hex Band - Gray
Fabulous lock. It is quite light and very strong. Certainly I would not lock up an out of eye sight $5,000 bicycle but it give one great confidence when you stop at the coffee shop or run in to mail a package. While it's venerability it to snips few petty thieves have those. I bought one for my son so he can lock his bike while at school and it is easy for him to operate. I would highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Light, easy to use combo lock
Size: 30 Inch Style: Hex Band - Gray
I loved that the lock was light, compact, and easy to use. It gave me peace of mind when I would go into a grocery store, for instance, as I could quickly and easily lock the bike to a bike stand or sign post. As per the product literature, this lock is not the most secure as it could be cut using power tools or bolt cutters quite easily but for its weight and compactness it’s a great option for bicycle touring where you just need something to deter the temptation of rolling the bike away. Loved the product. ... show more

  • Great “coffee stop” lock as advertised
Size: 30 Inch Style: Hex Band - Gray
I had one of the 1st generation Ottolocks which worked very well for coffee stops on club rides. I typically ride 3x per week and after a year & a half or so the lock starting jamming while in use and eventually would not unlock at all or only with great great difficulty. I tried silicone lube which seemed to help for awhile but then the problem recurred and I finally had to give up on the lock. Several members of my bike club had the same issue and were unable to unlock their bikes after a coffee stop. They had to find a maintenance person to cut the lock, which was a royal pain and obviously destroyed the Ottolock. My guess is that an internal part in the lock mechanism was under-designed and simply wore out prematurely. I will say that the locks did hold up pretty well to bolt cutters & tin snips, i.e., it took a minute or two to cut through them which is pretty good for such a lightweight lock and IMO definitely more secure than a typical cable lock - and also more compact. So despite my disappointing experience with the 1st generation Ottolock I still like the concept and decided to bite the bullet and try one of their new & allegedly improved Hexband models. So far I like it - it’s now thicker for improved cut resistance but not that much heavier than my first Ottolock. I sincerely hope the Hexband model lasts more than two years and doesn’t start jamming shut. If so I’ll be inclined to bump my rating up to five stars (however, if the problem recurs then I’ll likely change my rating to not recommended and start looking for another option for coffee stop lockups). ... show more

  • A very expensive low security lock
Size: 30 Inch Style: Original - Black
So, I’ve had this lock for two years now. It gets very minimal use. I usually take it with me on explore the city rides where I might need to hop into a restaurant for a quick bite or drink. My heavier duty locks I use commuting to work. Well the lock jammed up and I couldn’t get it open. Maybe if I had more time I could’ve gotten it free, but I didn’t want to continue wasting my day off trying to figure out why this lock wouldn’t open. I went to the px and bought a cheap $15 dollar pair of aviator snips. In 30 seconds and 5-6 snips I had cut through this lock with ease. Is this lock better than nothing? Sure, but at this price point it isn’t much better than a $10 combo lock. The locking mechanism also has a habit of premature failure and jamming up. I don’t know from an engineering standpoint what causes that or how to fix it, I just know for the average person that pretty much kills their lock. I knew it was minimal defense, but it was easily defeated with tin snips. I won’t be buying this lock again. I’ll be carrying a cheap combo lock for my road bike runs or wrapping a lighter chain on the frame. Dollar per security and durability for the product is poor. I salute them for thinking outside of the box, but from a bicycle commuter I would steer clear of this in the future. Can be defeated with cheap tools and locking mechanism is known to fail and not open. ... show more

  • Light weight, easy to use protection for your bike.
Size: 60 Inch Style: Original - Orange
Light weight and easy to carry. I have several of these locks. I keep some attatched to my various bikes so I am never without. I took a 60 inch lock with me while traveling in Europe. Keeping lugage weight down is essential, so no one wants to sacrifice 5 pounds to a lock. But no one wants their precious bicycle stolen either. I could lock my bike nearly anywhere while visiting museums, shopping or sight seeing. Is this a cheap lock? No. But would you trust your bike's safety to a cheap lock? I don't think so. And I like that I can set my own combination code. ... show more

  • High Visibility With Soft Outer Rubberized Cover
Size: 30 Inch Style: Original - Orange
Good deterrent for the thief's out there. While it could be removed with a bandits tools, it's bright orange & hopefully noise made to remove will provide protection. Soft rubberized exterior prevents damage to your bike. Easily installed and removed. Recommended only for short stops when bike may not be in view. A more robust recommended for overnight or longer term lockups ... show more

  • This is the lock I use with my scooter and I love it
Size: 30 Inch Style: Original - Black
Okay, sometimes you need a super tough U lock because you're going to leave an expensive bike or scooter out overnight or something like that... for a long time. But other times, you are writing your daily commuter and you just want to duck into a store for five or 10 minutes, and you know full well that a cable lock is not quite strong enough. Enter this, the Ottolock. It's ribbon form factor means that it rolls up very nicely, and it uses Kevlar, which is hard to cut through with a saw or even with bolt cutters. It's just a pain in the ass to cut through those bullet proof vest material fibers. So what this means is it is a good lock to bring with you if you are hopping around town and just need a quick way to lock up your bike or scooter. It's so light, you can shove it into the pocket of a winter coat and not even notice it is there. Or you can just hang it from the handlebar, but if you want to there is also an accessory bracket. If you are into road bikes are racing bikes, this is a great way to have a lock with you without weighing things down. Now you can run into the bathroom really quick and not worry about your bike, and yet be traveling as late as possible. ... show more
